Nice site. We were In the last spot on the left. Early in the morning we woke up to a black bear trying to open the door to our van and looking in the window. We let the camp host know. He was super friendly and didn’t mind us dumping our cassette toilet in the pit toilets down in the pay area.

Just off the highway there is a turn off with enough room to fit maybe 2 trucks but it’s very narrow coming in so if you are wider than a Tacoma might be difficult. Not really anywhere to set up a tent but if you have a rooftop tent or sleep in your vehicle it’s good for a night.

$20 to camp. There are other campgrounds in the area closer to the water.

a clear abuse!!
the Price ist extremely expensive (1470nd for 2 adults and 2 kids -11 + 8 y.old) for so few facilities!! just a bar, no swimming pool, personal not that friendly, pressure and hot water depending from the spot...
just as they have the monopol I would recommend 1 night here if you want to see the sunrise (only + is that you can drive 30min earlier than the ones outside the parc), and then the oasis campsite or another one.
I don't understand why campsite are so expensive in Namibia (for instance we paid 500nd for a family room in Lüderitz backpacker, with a charming host and all the facilities)

Simple room with 3 beds, I was the only one. Bathroom without shower. For 10 soles you can go to the baños termales which I think is a high price. The room is with a toilet and electricity. I payed s25,- which is also a high price for what you get but I think it is negotiable.

Great spot to overnight. You can see a slight opening from the road, and can either camp on the red hard sand close to the road (semi covered by trees) or go a bit further in and be less visible. Thanks 🙏🏼

WILD CAMPING ETIQUETTE
1. GOING TO THE TOILET - Find a place where people are very unlikely to walk. Dig a hole, do your business, burn the toilet paper (without causing a fire), cover the hole again.
2. FIRES / BRAAI’s - If you have to make your fire on the ground: Dispose of the ash (without causing a fire) & cover with sand. Leave it looking as natural as you found it.
3. Do not leave any rubbish behind.

Wild camping should not disturb the environment, animals or the people that live nearby.

Another awesome little find after a long tough day. We checked in late and they re-opened the kitchen for us for a light snack and cold beer. INDOOR secured parking was an amazing perk. $65 for a double with breakfast included.

Very little, to no hot water, especially in the morning, but clean rooms, friendly staff, A/C and indoor parking makes it a ‘10’ or close 👍🏼

Rough road. 4x4 not required for main road. Just go slow. Approximately 10 pull offs. 3-4 large, remaining small. Quiet. All sites were full each night with overnights and some staying longer.

Best camping in a while. Clean bathrooms, hot water (especially during the day), excellent mountain view and even a Pizza oven.

We measured the gates:

The small, main gate with the bell is: 2.61m high and wide enough for any vehicle. Clearance was, at least for us with a 6m long Fiat Ducato, more challenging. While exiting we had to add some bricks and wood to avoid touching the ground.
The second gate doesn’t have a hight limitation but the road there is more narrow which might require some maneuvering. While entering we touched the ground due to the 50-80cm high, rocky „ramp“ as mentioned a few times before.

All in all an excellent campsite, once you’re in ;)

Nice campground $10.
There’s a running stream in the east side. Worth ten bucks. Needed a place to rest before going through Jackson Wyoming tomorrow.

Great stealth spot! Vans and short rigs only, definitely no space for a larger camper. Felt safe and super quiet. Check out Foam Brewing and grab some crepes at the cafe on the corner down the street! So good!

We asked one person from the gas station if we could fill in our water tank, they said yes no problems. The water is after the fuel pipes, on the first house left side. You also have air. Good pressure. Thanks for this service! All free!
