We felt like eating something a little different then tacos and found this very good Arabic/Lebanese restaurant. Very good food and reasonable prices!

good gravel parking lot for Roosevelt friendship tower trail head. Stayed 7pm to 10am and were the only ones besides one passerthrough. Quiet except for constant howling wind and rain. Easy road, hard pack gravel, just two miles off hwy.

Stayed two nights in the lot while at parks in the day. Seems there was a big fire so all day fire trucks were going up and down thw main road there. Train goes by around six and eight

Great deals on beautiful specimens. He said that he's usually open March through October. Worth stopping in after Petrified forest to own a piece of it all. He's knowledgeable and gives you a little write up for the pieces

Free short term parking, but overnight camping is not permitted.

Road is half finished. Had about an hour of slow going traffic on bad dirt road, but all in all no need to avoid this route.

Apply for the Visa online and bring all uploaded papers printed out, including the application form, the checklist and the meeting details to the ambassy.

If you don't have an invitation letter from a habitat of Ghana, you need to add bookings from two different hotels to the application.

Official it says that you can only apply when you have an ivorian passport. Just take the option, even if you don't have one.

To leave the Ivory Coast you need a special letter from the ministère de l'intérieur abidjan. If you do not have it, they will not let you pass at the border.

not very cheap.. just regular prices (7,29 for gasoline). The gas stations in town were even cheaper (7,19)

Loved this spot. The lot is small as mentioned but there was street parking as well. Not sure if it was paid parking. The showers weren’t too cold as it is summer right now but they weren’t hot. The beach was beautiful. A bit rough and getting crowded early but the water was so pretty. Just a bit of seaweed. Take a salt water bath and then rinse off with the showers. Hoses connected to lower spouts for easy dog cleaning.

Pretty peaceful location. Campsites were clean, but there aren't too many spots with level ground. Manageable coverage with Google Fi.

As of May 31, 2022, spigot is unlocked and running true.

Double checked and confirmed twice that the water from the tap is drinkable.

Was not running when we were there in 2021. Guy was super nice! We had bikes but just kept on biking towards Nicaragua

Filled up our propane tank here for 220 pesos. Good service and a lot cheaper than in America!

CHILE -> BOLIVIA
Managed to cross with my Chilean van under a tourist visa.

I only had padron under my name and declaration jurada.

Chilean side was easy. Bolivian side was a mess. You just walk back and forth between the offices AND buildings. A women asked me for 15BOL just to get a registration number for the car import paper. It seemed fishy and I'm not sure you really need to pay but I didn't bother to ask, i just wanted to get through.

2022 fee for using dump is $8. Deposit fee in door mail slot. Look for a yellow post for dump inlet at the corner of the building.

Très bel endroit pour un petit arrêt. Nous avons pris un bon petit repas confortablement assis dans notre van en regardant la rivière. Il y a des tables de pique-nique, une toilette et une poubelle pour le recyclage et les déchets, c'était propre.

Another decent free spot. Pit toilet and no hookups. A few off road vehicles but didn’t bother us. Nice area to hike.

Great spot on the lake with spartan campsites. Hard packed road accessible by all. No hookups located but private, serene, and a great value. Some trash on campgrounds around but trash cans are spread about so feel free to contribute on the cleanup.

- can stay many days (consecutively)
- must register with security (they’re friendly)

Very nice place and a must visit for families with small children.

Stood here for five nights, mostly alone.
weekends a few camper. The swimming pools were always well attended.

For motorhomes: The places in the camping area are not possible for rigs wider than 2,30 meter, because there is a narrow bridge.
! But every size of rig is possible to stay at the parking area in front of the hotel! see fotos. But maybe this pitch is better because an open sewer runs along the campsite, which often stinks.
On some days you can hear the train passing the complex, often honking.

But if you've seen the pictures, you'll definitely go here.

A nice quiet lot with a great view. No one but me is here.

this site can hold one rig, is off the Forest road and has a fire ring. it's one of the better spots along this road for sure. it's not very level, but has room for one rig and several tents. near to one of the mountain bike trails.
