Gravel lot close to the small commercial district. Great after a day of hiking in Starved Rock. Lots of streetlights and the train does pass during the night. Car traffic began around 6:30am. Port-o-potties nearby (not always!).

Very good place to park and sleep for the after a day hiking in Starved Rock State Park. Train will come at random hours(not at 10:30 pm and 6:30 am). But they passed by quick and that's it. Make sure to park near the structure near the building next to the lots and come when it dark. There is a park nearby that you can hangout until then. I park far away from it and ended up the only vehicle out there! :-o So I felt uneasy about it all night. It can be crowded during daytime, but you can always move closer to the building before going to sleep.
Report Check-InNice spot for a night. I parked up by the little building with my full sized skoolie to leave the rest of the lot for cars. Except for the trains, nice and quiet at night.
Report Check-InParking en gravier dans une petite bourgade tranquille. Des restos et bars sympas au Mill Street Patio non loin.

Great spot beside cute Utica outdoor main street dining area. Short drive to Starved Rock State Park. Very close to train tracks. Train passed at 1030pm and 630am.
Report Check-InStayed two nights in the lot while at parks in the day. Seems there was a big fire so all day fire trucks were going up and down thw main road there. Train goes by around six and eight
