No water when we were there end of May...

Still good, we drank lots of it but had a tiny bit of a salty taste, but still good for drinking

Summer apparantly starts as soon as it’s warm. Hundreds of people gather. The only time when you’ll be able to sleep is between 4 and 6 AM. Even on a monday night.

This place has stopped operating since 2 years ago. I end up staying next door at Green Garden Guesthouse. Nice place & very friendly owner.

Beautiful place right by Orange River. Huge meadow, big rig friendly, locals showed no interest in us. Good Vodacom reception, okay MTN reception. A bit loud because of the artificial water wall, but okay when behind the trees.

Not bad a spot, it's quite lovely. Though the area including the traffic and barking dogs can be pretty noisy. last night while camping here though the whole area was surrounded by fireflies which was pretty amazing.

Very peaceful night. Parked in a normal car spot and did not find the tilt to be any issue. Cheers!

Great spot just outside/by Victoria Park! Tons of parking along the boardwalk.

Inside victoria park closes around 10 pm and opens early but the boardwalk is always open so you can park anywhere along there.

There is a bathroom in the middle of the park (near the baseball fields) that is open until 10 pm too. Lots of picnic tables inside the park.

Get a lokal third party insurance here when coming from Omorate.

Great spot with our small 18 ft trailer. Another 5th wheeler on the other side of this big rock and we can't even see them. we're on the east side so no early morning sun but internet works ok. we're actually on a large flat rock.

Parking just after the boat ramp. we ask locals and no problems. Very nice view. you can go on presqu'île by bike for free. we stayed 2 nights. no service.

Tyre and wheel alignment workshop. Well equipped. CONTINENTAL flagged. Lionel, the owner help us to repair our Hilux front bumper after crashing heavely a goat on the road. Lionel is an active member of "Amigos da Picada" the 4x4 and trailbike club in Angola

Nice, small, shady campground. 600m from the beach. Small restaurant, nice owner.
Payed 25€ for campervan, 2 people with electricity.

Best seafood restaurant in town and probably in the whole region! Great seafood at affordable price.

Only bottles of 5 liter. We wanted to fill up the watertank of our camper but that would be to expensive. Instead we went to Petrobras a little bit further in the street where we could fill up for free

In front of the New train station. unfortunately not tap water available. Water supply cut down.

This is a huge, disused, car park suitable for vehicles of any size. The ground is almost totally flat (just enough of a slope to allow water to flow off-site) and big enough to accommodate 20+ motor homes. It is close to the road, but there is very little traffic in the area… apart from cows that roam freely everywhere.

The Vulture Centre is 10 minutes walk away (next to the big bridge). If you are visiting at the right time of year (May-June) you are bound to see Griffon vultures flying overhead.

Good parking for 24 hours. Quiet at night. Public toilets approx 250 meters direction town.

Had a very quiet and fresh night with the camper. Only a few locals passed by but didn‘t stop. There were some constructions at the begining of the road but we could pass by to get to the spot. Recommendable!

The place looks new. A lot of room for big rigs. Bathrooms and showers were clean enough. I would stay here again.

Small Chapel almost on the beach. Another great free wild camp on the way to the border. Quite place with water from the church and toilets. There is also a plug for power but you need to request permission to use. The road down is a bit tight so not easy for big rigs. 4x4 not necessary so even for vans is fine. We asked a local and he said that we were more than wellcome to stay.

Excellent free dump site just off Hwy 1. Need to speak with staff who supervise dump and provide you with fill as needed. Super friendly staff!

Ficamos aqui aqui por 3 noites, chegamos no domingo nossa intenção era ficar em algumas vagas na frente da praça da Baleia 🐳, porém sem chance era 22:00 ainda estava cheio. Qndo chegamos conversamos com o Valdir o dono do estacionamento ele queria cobrar 20,00 pra pernoitar aí conseguimos por 15,00, super que recomendamos estávamos precisando lavar roupa aí foi tranquilo. Aqui tem banheiro, um chuveiro porém o problema é que a água e de poço e tem um cor amarelada pra lavar roupa e tomar banho tá tranquilo, agora beber achamos melhor não. Os dias que ficamos foram tranquilo Domingo a quarta o estacionamento era nosso, não tinha movimentação.

O Valdir super gente boa nos deixou a vontade, as tardes andávamos de mãos dadas na orla e na praça da Baleia que fica ao lado.

Tem mercado e bateria a 800mts restaurante com quentinha a 15,00.

We parked at the open deck, 2.4 m gate to enter. It’s right next to the security guy operating the gate and a high traffic area so we felt safe. Parking 7 nad for 5 hours

If you coming from Omorate you have to stop here to do Customs, they will stamp your CDP. Maybe they will stop you anyway at the police checkpoint when entering Key Afer. Easy going after we found someone to translate.
