Spend one night here in a Campervan. Amazing view on the Arenal and very quiet. Don't stay at the beginning on the road but keep going and some places allowed to park a car (if it's dry and the grass was cut)

First arrived first served, 25 $. not crowded when we were there. Nice spots, nice view, nice sunset :)
No facilities, except toilets.
I think it is the best spot to sleep near Monument valley without spending too much money.

When we visited, we got a very nice view over Burundi. The pyramid is on top of the hill and worth the view! They put up a sign with a price update. The entrance to the source now is 20.000 Franc pp. for foreigners and there was a lady who gave as an official recipe after our visit.

Excellent spot about a mile and a half back, on a curve under some trees. Had some hail and the spot got a bit muddy, but it’s great for setting up a hammock. You can hear the creek

We were referred here by Hans at Finca Sommerwind Reinaldo and his crew were very accommodating, serving us immediately after we rolled in to their shop without any prior appointment. We wanted to have our brakes checked before hitting the Andes proper. A proper check was done of all our brakes and we were reassured that they still had plenty of life. We weren't sold anything that we didn't need, which is the opposite of what usually happens at a dealership. Parts for common makes are available at the shop and specialty parts can be ordered. We highly recommend this business!

Absolutely loved this spot! Camped in the center campsite which gave a near 360 view of the lake as the campground is on a peninsula. So many islands to explore, bring a water vessel! Sandy beach area for swimming with child life jackets for borrow and buoys, plus no gators! Quartz everywhere. I did hear a pretty intense argument through the woods that concerned me a little, but was talking to a local couple at the time and they made it seem like a normal thing. Only lasted a few minutes on first day. Stayed two nights with no other incidents. Outhouse in good shape. I didn’t want to leave, I’ll be back with a canoe and more time some day. Picnic tables, fire ring and grill at most sites.

Very different camping location. Near giant grain silos on the grounds of the former superintendent of the railroad. The Kriegh family home is a unique walk through and the family history, with, 14 children was amazing. Take a short walk to the antique store owned and run by Dawn!

Coming from Elephantsong camp you will pass narrow road between the two mountains, after about 300 meters you need to turn right and stay right - you will see track going up ti hill. 4WD and low gear required to come up the hill! Views on the riverbed is stunning, amazing sunset, night sky full of stars, place for fire. Firewood was available at the entrance gate but you can find a lots of wood in the riverbed too.

What a view! This is a very popular spot especially on public holidays. Also expensive we paid 140 reals for 2 in a camper. The campsite is flat and has both 110 and 220v power as well as water taps but the bathrooms are a bit of a walk. However they are pristine. So it is expensive but you get great views.

Best place in Zagora and surroundings to solve any mechanical problem. Moto, caravan, 4x4 , whatever... they will find the best solution for you. if you want to make any improvements before going back home, it's also your place. we changed springs and shock absorbers on December, now, we were back for further improvements. Very nice people, great mechanics. Highly recommended.

Very welcoming space : wide open. On weekends it turns into 4 wheeler central. I hear once a year this spot is like the burning man of 4 wheel races. I was able to be here alone during the week: was here 6 days. The weekend it was pretty busy, compared to the emptiness of the week. Off the highway: there are a good couple miles of road that is off road: but not too bad… just take it slow.

Was right above a residence area. Cool graffiti and lots of space prior to the skate park that was totally fine to be in. People going to hikes up there during the day were nice. Was here to stay up in elevation while I needed to do town stuff in palms desert and it was… just too hot down there. This elevation had the spot 10 degrees cooler.

Good spot to take a break on the PE3S next to the lake. The night was very quiet. The most practical way to reach the spot is to go around the lake by the right side (coming from the PE3S, maps.me indicates it correctly).
There is no asphalt around the lake but the track is relatively good.
Lots of birds in the morning.
Good Claro signal

Did this hike with a dog starting from nearby Ukshapungo (iOverlander pin). Ask Manuel where the trail begins. Went clockwise and took 4 hours.

An employee saw our dog and just told us how beautiful he was. Lots of signs at the entrance that they aren’t allowed, but nobody seemed to care once we passed the entrance/exit after hiking clockwise (to maximize time before potentially being kicked out for our dog).

Awesome hike, definitely recommend it. Easy and interesting. Gets hot quickly, start early.

very friendly welcome from Cedric who knows Paraguay well and gives good information. The place is relaxing and very clean. You have access to a very equipped kitchen, lots of choice in the "mini" (rather maxi) bar. But also meals concocted by Chef Cedric with very good products, including Swiss cheese fondue (local), raclette (local German charcuterie), etc. We spent the day on an island in the lake eating in the shade, great! We highly recommend.

Very nice. Thanks guys. Entrance easy to find from the main road. A traffic sign tells you there is a xing. When you come from the west it's a bit of a hairpin when you turn right. From the east side it's easy peasy. We believe this spot is the best choice between here and Batumi along the main road. Easy access for all rigs. Pretty clean. No dustbins.
