We stayed here a night on our way to Kgalgadi and really liked it as a stopover. Campsites are very comfortable with everything you need. Enough shade. The abultions are very nice, lots of hot water but a short walk from campsites. They also have a small butchery where you can buy game meat at very good prices.

We came from Gabon to E.Guinea
You will need CDP, yellow fever certificates, printed visas of E.Guinea

And you will go to E.Guinea side first. And when you finish you will come back to get stamps in Gabon.

And when we came Gabon jandarmeira told us that we can’t cross. No enter for tourist. It seems that it was just smb’s whim.

We behaved us to annoyed them))))) Asked them same questions again and again, spoke loudly and so on. And also we need contact our concul, without that nothing go on(( May be it was not good shift this day.

Gabon side was not friendly. ((

E.Guinea side was super friendly!!! Paperworks took ~1 hour. Be careful with CDP, I think it is better to help them stamp it correctly.

Nice and slightly graded parking lot. Quiet overall. Some cars drive in to watch the sunset but keep to themselves. Good cell signal (2 bars LTE with ATT). Arrived by 6PM and left at 7AM. Good rest point before sequoia national park.

I parked by the tennis court, by the lake and the picnic bench. I was here by myself and no one troubled me.

Easy access with 4x4. Beautiful spot! With palm trees and natural water (we didn’t swim because it’s brown). Very quiet place. Perfect for the night.

Agree with the last comment. Quite a decent campsite. Definitely not the worst in Namibia. It is expensive (440 now), but so are all other campsites at parks here. WiFi was decent, and available much earlier than a comment below suggested. Sites are quite closeby, so not much privacy, and lots of binding lights at night.

Chile --> Bolivia

We tried to cross the border as foreigners with a Chilean car. They wouldn't let us pass. The Chilean aduana told us it was even illegal that we've been to argentinia before. We discussed 2 hours but we couldn't cross. They even told us that we are not allowed to bring a Chilean car outside of chile because of drug smuggling (kind of accused us). Stupid people you can't discuss with.

A great second-hand clothing store, with lovely variety and cheap prices.
very close to 2 other second hand store:
• Según La Moda Store
• Súper Ropero (even cheaper!)
highly recommend!

There are no more restaurants upstairs, they are now in ground floor. We eat to one of them for 6 SOL, for classic Peruvian food (soup, main and drink).

The Andean plateau where the ruins are located is absolutely superb! The ruins of this Inca city are interesting. Entrance costs 5 sol for adults and 1 sol for children. We camped on the parking lot which is actually a large meadow, it's quiet. There is a small stream with clear water that crosses the meadow. Very good 4G Claro signal.

just a described. directly in town about a block past the historic courthouse, n 5 minute walk to "town." it's a large gravel lot with large spaces divided up with railroad ties. has drive thru or back in. quiet. only amenity appears to be trash barrels placed sporadically. $10 a night, cash only, placed in a drop box. in a solo female traveler n I felt totally safe. I'd stay again.

Parking area at Lake Atalanta. It is a well-used park for folks who are walking, running, biking etc. There are hiking trails in addition to the paved walkway around the lake. We stayed one night and had no issues, it was quiet and peaceful. There appeared to be a couple of other folks staying the night too.

Easily accessible with our campervan. The road looks new.
Friendly peoples!
Campervan with 2 adults and 2 children. Free overnight stay provided you eat in the restaurant (family kitchen). Was super tasty! Camping right by the sea. 1 place, other options are under palm trees, we didn't risk that.
Shower is ok. Toilet was not clean.
We stayed there for 1 night because of the heat.

31 USD for campervan, 49 USD for bigger RV. We parked in the parking lot. It is a pure parking space, without sanitary facilities or electricity. No wifi here, but on the lawn. Advantages: quiet at night, no dogs, cats, chickens, etc., so everywhere is very clean. Disadvantages: dubious advertising, no indication of the very high price, photos of RV on the lawn are unrealistic. If you are willing to pay the price, you will be happy with your parking.

A good place to camp, we spent one night, it was quiet. Don Fausto is very friendly and attentive, there is a shared kitchen, swimming pool, bathrooms, showers, everything complete, highly recommended.
The price is $2.5 per person.

Special little spot by a stream, we were all alone and very, very little traffic on the road. Highly recommend as a tranquil place to chill for a morning. Only downer was some barbarians without a shovel left TP strewn in the bushes. Let's hope they had a one off emergancy and are not leaving a trail of gastric destruction throughout the Western United States. 2wd is fine.

I drove up to Mike’s Range and chatted with the workers. After they told me camping at the range is 500 pesos I asked for an alternative.
They send me down a road till hit intersects the river and told me I could camp there for free. I place this pin so you will know how far to go down the road. The river is uncrossable at this moment.

After I thanked them and gave a little present they even offered for me to come back tomorrow morning and take a hot shower 👍.

I parked in the parking lot at the trailhead overnight. Apart from the occasional train horn it was very quiet and I was alone. Hiked the trails early before the heat hit.

Camped out here in my RV for several days midweek and nobody bothered me. A few people stopped by to take in the view, but only one VanLife couple stayed here for longer than a few hours. A ranger came by to maintain the grass, but he didn't care that I'm staying here. The view is gorgeous, and my HomeFi signal was strong enough that I was able to work and even have a few meetings and video calls with only a few drops in service.
