Big BLM lot not too far from the city. There is a ton of space for even the biggest rigs. The road in is surprisingly busy all night and they do shoot guns down the road. But neither of those two kept us up. We are surrounded by mountains, in beautiful weather. Great spot. 9/10

The dune is gone. Heavy machines cleaned this part.
The road from Puerto Madryn to here is good and really bad ripio. The washboard is at the end of the road in bad shape and you can drive only slowly but there are no deep holes or so.
It was easy for our standard RV ( Fiat Ducato) and we saw a lot of orcas!

Nice spot on the river, big parking lot. Buildings closed for the season.
No one else around at night, a few people in and out through the morning.
Quiet.

Nice, large field to camp in. Just a little noise from the highway. Conveniently close to the highway and Sinclair station. Only 3 of us there and plenty of space.

Two rooms available with bed and blanket. Very basic, no electricity or drinking water,no wifi, but phone signal not so bad. The lady gave us a jump of water to wash ourselves. Very quiet and rustic place to spend a night. Suitable for cyclists passing through. The road to get here is not paved, and some sections have a gradient of over 12%. Trucks are difficult to climb.50 quedzal for 2.

Really excellent little campsites with a shelter and fire pit, There are new pit toilets, but there is no shower room. Apparently there are showers in the front building, but they are often locked. Honor system envelopes, which you can mail. Really wonderful river walk along the Rio Grande. We just took off into town in the morning, got some breakfast and took a soak and shower in one of the local Hot Springs. Will definitely stay again.

The place is rather big so even if is there other people you have a massive space where to be completely isolated
Has a river, natural pool, sugar cane hand mill and coconuts
Also a swimming pool is available if you are traveling with your kids
Anthony guides you if you wanted a night walk experience and you get to see some snakes, spiders and even coyotes at night
You feel like you are truly at the rain forest
Showers and toilets are in 3 different spots along the property

Nice and basic comedor on the main square. Very friendly owners.
If you ask very kindly they might even offer you a basic room (2beds).
It seems allowed to camp on the square on the roofed terrace

Great place to stay the night. Got there around 3pm asked the employee if it was okay if we stayed, she was fine with it. Keep in mind it’s next to a busy street so noise will be there throughout the night. Overall do recommend.

We were not sure but we filled our tank here one week ago and so far, no stomac issue so it’s potable ;)

The police stop us here and said we need a special autorisation to drive here. It seems to be a scam because a lot of cars were there too but they only stop us with our rv. They wanted to give us a fine of 800 pesos. After 15min of negotiating I said I will turnaround if I need to pay to drive here. They finally let me go without any fine.
Be careful not to be fooled, otherwise they will continue to scam tourists.

We loved this place. Next to the road but quiet as there is virtually no traffic at night.

This place is fenced of now. We drove 2 km more east, there we could park our big rig of road. Small road 100 meter uphill on the left side coming from this place. Every sort of vehicle could stay here, also tents.

Beautiful road with amazing views.
BUT;
Very scary sometimes with the narrow paths and the rocks that have fallen down. We didn’t saw any other car. It’s a dangerous road I would say with rocks falling down.

Great birding! Also really nice to have dinner in town and be able to pull in here late after dark. People are picking trash, so it is cleaner than I expected. Convenient.

Nice quiet spot on the street in front of the baseball field by the HEB. They open at 6 and have a nice bathroom. There are also public bathrooms by the fields but they also close overnight.

Nice place to stop. They had the main area blocked off for a weekend event but there were still areas to park the picnic tables at the end and away from the main parking were in sad shape but we were only there to sleep.

Fantastic spot for the night. Decently populated but very spread out. Someone’s car alarm went off in the middle of the night but it seemed accidental rather than a break in. The sunrise is beautiful over the mountains

Turn north off 29 palms hwy, very nice packed road used by trucks to get out to the salt mine. One truck every few hours, but other than that didn’t see anyone for 4 days. About 2 miles in, there is a fork, with a site just to the left passed the road signs. If you keep going on the road to the left, there are a couple very nice sites. Gets kinda rough about 1/4 miles in, should have 4wd for that road. A couple washed out sandy spots. An hour from Joshua Tree entrance. Beautiful sunsets, no trash, very hot during the day. Pack it in, pack it out. Enjoy!

Other than being a bit noisy this was great. Lots of others parked for the night. Just noisy from the trucks coming and going and idling their engines.
