Nice place to stop. They had the main area blocked off for a weekend event but there were still areas to park the picnic tables at the end and away from the main parking were in sad shape but we were only there to sleep.

Nice park with water available on sites, some have shelter and picknik tables, very quiet, you can ear some train far away near highway 10, not enough to bother my sleep. Lots of bird listening to relax. Police came around in the morning. Recommend.

I recommend taking the tour!

Veterans Park is a city owned area that was donated by local in honor of her husband who served in the military. There is a really cool display to honor those who were prisoners of war and veterans! There's a tank and a large gun at the entrance of the park that looks really cool! These are large pull through RV sites that are non-electric. There are water spickets at a few of the sites. There is no dumping on site that we could find. There are two large trash cans for household garbage.

Definitely recommend checking out Shakespeare Ghost Town which is about a mile down the road. They have two or times that you do need to schedule for for 10am, 12am and 3pm. This is a private leoned ghost town that is historic to the area. The owners were very knowledgeable and passionate about the history of this place. Their location is also a Harvest host location

Nice spot for a night. Quiet except for some crazy guy and his friend yelling and cursing late at night. I think this is their regular routine. He drives a white Cadillac around the park, stops and starts yelling and cursing at the top of his lungs. I even heard him at 6 a.m. I hope you won't encounter these people. Other than that a nice, quiet flat space with picnic tables, grills and a couple of dumpsters.

Spent the day here working: multiple sites with covered picnic tables and water. No electrical hook ups and it’s Free. We decided not to spend the night - it’s about .5 mile out of town and it just felt a bit exposed and isolated. it can handle big rigs and if you are traveling with another camper, I’d stay here w/o concern. It’s free and 2 mins of I-10.

There was this sketchy couple driving around in circles for hours. They would park then drive around in circles again, they were arguing the whole time. They finally dumped something in the dumpers than drove away. Other than that it was lovely having the site to myself. I would come back here again. The peacefulness is top tier.

Quiet and lots of free space. Had to enter from the exit side due to the low hight of the front arch.

Great easy to reach free campsite. Don’t take Goggle directions it will take you in a goose chase. Use these exact coordinates I am sitting under the entrance sign for directions.

There is an operational water tap, likely used for irrigation of the trees and shrubs. It was turned active on March 19, 2023. Do not know if it postable water though, would be cautious.

Great level sites with covered tables. Quiet, no road noise. Only one other RV present.

Nice place to park, roofed picnic table with bbq pit, away from the highway, big rig friendly, nice view of the mountains Verizon 4 bars

Great spot, so clean for a public place, no trash whatsoever. Far enough away from interstate and railway so there's only faint background noise.

Thanks to the OP.

Great spot to stop for the night! Lots of space, quiet, safe, there were 3 other rigs there overnight. Our kids enjoyed looking at the military equipment. There’s an entrance to the left of the arched sign for taller rigs. Currently there is no signage saying camping isn’t allowed.

No problem getting in and my 32 foot diesel pusher that is 10’10” high. Plenty of turn around and space for all sizes of large vehicles. Sites are perfectly level. The drive in is DUSTY. Had to move from the visitor center because the diesel trucks there were outrageously noisy. This is further from the I 10 and no semi’s anywhere nearby. Aside from the two rows of picnic tables. There are more off to the west if you want more privacy.
