2500pP for the day tour
500pP for camping

The tours seem to run longer during summer/holiday season, we arrived at 14.30 and went on the tour 15.30

Tour lasts 3 hours. Interesting rock formations + some info given by guide (only Spanish!). Extremely hot!

We visited Valle de La Luna in the Atacama Desert shortly before and I’d say you don’t have to do this tour if you’ve seen Atacama and unless you a very interested in dinosaurs ^^

Adriana works from her own living room. This is not a fancy salon, this is a place for a good haircut (and in my case, a great beard trim), for what seems like a more than reasonable fee. She mentioned she's been doing this for 7 years but the pandemic killed her business, so she now offers cuts from home. Her kids were watching TV while she cut my hair, and her husband bringing tools in from a day of work. This is how you put money directly in local's hands so they can grow their own projects and progress in life.

My cut and beard trim were salon quality. Tons of pictures of styles on the wall you can point to if you do not speak Spanish. Very convenient place if you are staying at one of the RV places in El Centenario.

You can WhatsApp her to make sure she'll be able to take you without wait +52 1 612 229 5994

I’ve stayed here four separate times over the last 2 1/2 weeks as I travel around the area. No problems at all. I always leave by 10am. It seems like everyone is following the rules. Usually 6-12 RVs/Vans/car dwellers every night. A little loud at times, but to be expected. Nice walking path nearby too.

TRIGGER WARNING, S*XUAL ASSAULT

We arrived here at around 17h30, got greeted by two dogs and Antonio. He showed us around and insisted to walk alone with my girlfriend but she clearly denied. Then, we went back to our truck to eat. At around 19h30, my girlfriend went on a walk to make a few phone calls. Antonio followed her around with a flashlight for a while and theb made his way up to her, smelling like booze and visibly drunk. He forcefully hugged her and kissed and then licked her neck. When she tried to get away, he grabbed her arm and tried to pull her back towards him. She had to run away back to our truck and then we left. I would absolutely never recommend this place to anyone, the owner is a creep and a p*rvert. Please don’t ever come here.

About 1 mile off the road up a dirt track. A couple of spots by the base of the mine and another one about another 150 yards up the hill. I made it with a long wheelbase Transit in the rain. Well used fire pit didn’t use obviously because of the rain. Shortly after setting up I got visited by Burro’s.

Just as described - felt super safe, great amenities for being right on the water. Beachfront was epic, snorkeling was amazing, so many gorgeous kinds of fish and water life. Great trails from this beach down to many other rediculously gorgeous beaches… walked the trails to the right of the beach for about 15 mins and stopped at another point area they called Dinosaur egg beach. The snorkeling there was even more great and the huge round rocks everywhere and other amazing rock formations were radical! Highly recommend! We didn’t camp, it was a little windy that day and we wanted to keep moving, but we spent the whole day there mostly and would highly recommend!

so-so experience..
+ great views of the waterfall, no entrance fee, you have the spot all for yourself. it's really beautiful.
- the food is quite expensive by Malawian standards (4500 Kw for chips and eggs). The owner told us it would take 10 minutes, we told him we don't have too much time. In the end it was 1 hour 15 minutes until food was served. The chips were still kind of raw. It was a really small plate. We left the place still hungry.
Suggestion: have a beer or a coke enjoying the views, but don't eat here.

Awesome spot to overnight. Solo female traveler, felt super safe. Only 1 truck exited at night (assumed it was from the nordic center), no one came at night, and people came around 6:30 in the morning (I think to open up the center). The gate to the center was closed at night but the huge gravel (snow right now) lot was open. Also two porta-potties there! Got lots of snow overnight, and it's a really fun spot to walk your pet. Very little service; 1 weak bar of Verizon (enough to send a text sometimes). Would definitely stay here again! But definitely be considerate of the center and the snow plow too.

We showed up around 5 pm on a Tuesday night and were told the campground was full. But when we were circling around to leave the lady at the station flagged us down and said there was space in the "primitive" camping area, aka overflow camping. There were only 3 other guests in spots that night. Cost is $22 and that includes access to hot showers, flush toilets, and a dump station. We were told if we want to stay again we would need to go to the visitor center between 8-9 am the following day to see if there was availability. There wasn't any availability in the full hook up part of 5he campground, but we were able to stay in the overflow lot again. Sites are level gravel and plenty big enough for our sprinter van. The site are right next to one another, so if you're looking for privacy between neighbors, this overflow lot doesn't offer that. It is more of a parking lot. Lots of hiking/biking trails easily accessed from this campsite.

Parked overnight on a haul out west. Stayed at the northbound rest area, but had the same amenities. Was clean and safe and no one bothered me. Parked on the car side to leave room for the mini truckers. Just went all the way to the end near picnic tables. It was a great experience.

nice parking lot but very loud. there is a train close by that runs several times through the evening, both roads by the walmart pickup side are very busy and loud. week days the school buses pick up children on the walmart pickup side around 7am. id recommend sleeping closer to the gas station side. other than all the noise i has a peaceful night with other car sleepers near by

This is a large, easy to access spot with already established fire ring. The road to get here is a bit bumpy but not too bad. We got here in the dark and left the next morning before the sun came up so I can’t speak to the view, but there weren’t many people around. Highway and train noise but not too loud. Would stay here again!
