Your typical cracker barrel. On the smaller side but there are trees blocking the highway, which reduces the noise. The designated RV spots are in the front where most customers park but it's the best location since the back of CB has you right up on those trees where the highway is. Quiet and level parking, full Tmobile and Verizon service.

Unincorporated land at end of Hollywood Blvd. The road ends at Sunrise Trailhead, which is nowhere to have a picnic, as the park itself is closed and trashed.

The dirt road is accessible to cars, however, 4wd is recommended. No shade, toilets, or water. Just a dirt road and a nice skyline view of the strip at night.

Beautiful hot water pools and waterfalls. Would definitely recommend La Gloria to Tolotongo.

My wife and I got here on two motorcycles, as previous comments mention, the last section is rather steep with hairpins and gravel, but can be easily done.

It was 120pp per night - payable at entrance. you can extend while you're down there.

you can camp there (included in the 120 price) but it's not immediately obvious where. don't let that put you off though, there's loads of places to set up and you can even camp right by the huge pool near the car park.

alternatively you can get a room for 800 (basic), no fan, can be hot, but private and a locked door etc. Although the whole place does feel very safe.

would recommend taking lots of supplies and water (no WiFi here).

you can cross the footbridge to Tolotongo but will need to pay another fee to enter there and it's way more touristy.

worth the ride, have fun!

DO NOT attempt to cross into Mexico on a Saturday here ! Everything was smooth on the Guatemalan side and everyone was super friendly. But when we arrived at the Mexican border at 11am, there was nobody from the Aduana and they told us to wait until monday. If this happens to you, don’t even attempt to convince them, just drive to the nature reserve with the lakes that’s closest to the border as this is allowed territory without a permit (the officials told us themselves) it’s lovely and safe there. You do need entry stamps in your passport though.

Don't worry about the comments that say this area is closed, or has a bunch of Highway noise. It is definitely open and there is basically no noise from the road at this location. This is free BLM.

This is the first large area you will come to as you drive up Yellow Circle Road. There are other camping spots beyond this as well, as you can see by all the other entries near this one. The road in is a nice gravel road until the last 100 yds., then it turns rougher and slightly rutted, but not a problem. There are even low clearance sedans using the road.

This area is suitable for large rigs and has many spots (see the Google Maps Satellite view attached). We had basically no Verizon, but the T-Mobile hotspot is getting 5 - 10 Mbps.

Very wide free spot on Forest Service Road 318. Large level spot with no trash (because I picked it all up). Hiking above. Some ATV traffic.

Made it down and up in my Crosstrek. The lower beach is so cool. I wouldn’t do it with 2WD but if you pick your angle right and use the gravel you can send it in AWD

Awesome spot , BRING BUG SPRAY AND TICK SPRAY. MAKE SURE YOUR PETS ARE UP TO DATE WITH FLEA AND TICK MITIGATION. In 30 minutes I had 6 ticks on me. Outside of that awesome spot to camp at. Beautiful quiet with cows and birds and coyote sounds . Awesome spot if the ticks aren’t a thing for you. Happy trails ! 🤙🏻 plenty of Verizon service , logs to sit on in one campground.

Turkey Creek Campground near the Boat Ramp. Only one other camper. Difficult to figure out how to pay, the phone number on the entrance sign was disconnected. Lots of spots, not super level, but good for an overnight. No services. Flush toilets and showers, not the cleanest but functional. Two bars of VZ.

Nice walking on broadwalks in the middle of typical moose habitat. Check Google for more detail. Free. No overnight parking. 10 km north is similar but car tour area about 10 miles.

Spent 3 nights here (different sites) and I will definitely be back. So beautiful! Not the most level spots but nothing to complain about. The farther out you go the worse signal gets but it's still pretty solid (att & tmobile).
Saw a young coyote & quite a few rattlesnakes crossing the road.

good long fence to park by. one of the houses must have been having a party because there was loud music for hours until about midnight. my van is pretty insulated but it was rattling my windows. I ended up sticking it out because I was too tired to move again, and once that stopped it was quiet and I was never approached.

It's a really nice spot. Amazing views of snow covered Evans and Beirstadt. We got the last spot between this and Redskin Creek. Unfortunately, it's a designated spot only place with more don't camp here signs than camp here signs. I suppose that cuts both ways. it's about 8 miles of okayish gravel to get here.

It was about 10pm when I rolled into this spot and I was getting nervous I wouldn’t find a place to sleep because all the other spots before this were occupied. Turned out I got this giant space to myself and had a very nice stay. There were 4 defined spaces with fire rings but definitely space for more. The space is pretty flat and there is enough room for you folk with big rigs. It may be tough getting in if it has rained a lot recently, the entrance to the space looked very torn up from people struggling with mud.

This site is approximately 200 meters southeast of Ruchert Rd on NF-085 overlooking Martin Ridge. There are a few small pot holes on this unpaved road but nothing that would require 4x4 (unless of heavy rain or snow). There is plenty of space for more than 2 rigs and maybe even 30 ft travel trailer. There's a hand made fire pit probably from rocks gathered at the ridge. This road leads to Horseshoe Spring but the road is blocked by a couple of downed trees. It's a very clean and quiet place.
