Latest Check-Ins

Don't worry about the comments that say this area is closed, or has a bunch of Highway noise. It is definitely open and there is basically no noise from the road at this location. This is free BLM.

This is the first large area you will come to as you drive up Yellow Circle Road. There are other camping spots beyond this as well, as you can see by all the other entries near this one. The road in is a nice gravel road until the last 100 yds., then it turns rougher and slightly rutted, but not a problem. There are even low clearance sedans using the road.

This area is suitable for large rigs and has many spots (see the Google Maps Satellite view attached). We had basically no Verizon, but the T-Mobile hotspot is getting 5 - 10 Mbps.

Report Check-In

Great large BLM land with fire pits. Make sure you keep driving about a half mile away from the road.

Report Check-In

These spots on BLM land are allowed and free, as long as you are in the designated campsites, but you can't camp on the road. Wonderful place to stay near Moab, especially during non-peak times. A good amount of sites with fire pits, good views and a bit of cell service. Would definitely stay again.

Report Check-In

Spent one night at this spot, no 4G and a bit of noise from the neighbours' generators, but we had a good and safe night of sleep.

Report Check-In

This place is permanently closed.

Tons of lovely spots! Busy over the weekend, but still were able to find a spot at 9 pm. 1-3 bars with Verizon. Road was easy to navigate in 2WD transit. Sites were a bit unlevel, but blocks went a long way. Pick up your trash and leave it better than you found it!

Wow! tranquille à 30 minutes du parc de Arches. Fait avec un 40 pieds sans problème.

Report Check-In

Busy area. Not easy to get too, roads kinda rough, not level, poor cell reception and pretty far from Moab. If I wanted/needed to be close to Moab I’d just stealth camp. There are tons of vans all around town and they seem well tolerated.

I honestly wouldn’t have stayed here if I wasn’t meeting up w a friend.

Good stargazing.

about 12 miles south of Moab, sadly it’s harder to find any free sites any closer to town. but this spot had beautiful views of the La Sal Mountain’s. lots of rigs, but you can definitely spread out if you continue further up the road. we rode in our friend’s side by side from there and found some fun routes. spotty Verizon and AT&T service.

Report Check-In

There are the big, crowded dusty lots here, but there are also places to tuck away if you go farther up the road. Just be aware of weather conditions. We entered camp in dry weather and didn’t have any issues. But the next morning after rain and snow, we got super stuck in the mud for 1.5 hours, and this was with a Jeep Wrangler with mud tires. Definitely a good lesson for us that we want to share with others.

Report Check-In

Extremely crowded area. There were 10-15 vehicles in the first large area with multiple fire pits and many more vehicles in the other nearby spots. Worked fine for a quick overnight between days at Arches but I wouldn't spend longer than that here. One bar on TMobile.

Report Check-In

You must drive .6 miles to get to camping area. For us, this place was too busy and had too much road noise. We took our 4wd Sprinter about a mile up the hill for more solitude and better cell service.

Report Check-In

We stayed at a site halfway back. It's backed into a hill with lots of brush surrounding it. There is room for a couple of rooftop/car campers with minimal leveling required. There's really only one good spot in the site we were in for a normal tent. Had LTE with both TMobile and Verizon.

Report Check-In

This entire area is now no camping, sign right off the highway. Too. bad.

Report Check-In

As others have mentioned, road bumping from wheel ruts. Good for a one night stay. I would be careful when road becoming wet (rain), appears that roadway could become impassable with 4x4? Had two Verizon bars with LTE

Report Check-In

Great BLM location. Several fire pits and camping spots along the dirt road. A couple of RVs there but fairly empty during this time of year.

Enter in Yellow Road and keep rigth. Bump dirt road. Nice and quiet place

Report Check-In

Nice and quiet place. Bump dirt road but ok

Report Check-In

Great place to go to, amazing view and planty of space.

Sign at entry says no camping but if you continue and turn right it has a sign to camp only in designated areas. First 20m drive is pretty washed out/ big holey and same with the last 50m but just take it easy and you’ll get through fine. (Could do it in our 22ft). Plenty of others around. We just stuck to the main open area but I assume if you drive up further there’s some nice secluded areas. Perfect for a night with beautiful stars!

Report Check-In

It’s ok as a last resort. I had been looking for a site for hours and was just worn out. Pretty busy with lots of campers. Took one of the last spots. Ok to pitch a tent on. The highway is definitely loud, especially when big trucks go by, even at night. Has a pretty view, but lots of power lines and the highway in the way. Wouldn’t camp here again. There are fire pits at all the sites. And it’s free. So..

Report Check-In

lots of people here but if you push further in you can still get some semi secluded places to rest up for the evening

Report Check-In

The most popular BLM spot I've ever visited. Stayed one night. Unfortunately it would seem that past visitors have not adhered to the "Leave no trace" idiom.

Report Check-In

Bumpy road but okay for RV, open area, many other campers, low AT&T signal

Report Check-In

Good views, rough road but worth it, will stay again. Getting crowded.

Report Check-In

Easy access, plenty of space, very quiet, free, 15-20 minutes from Moab. BLM so no services.
