Latest Check-Ins

Beautiful campground, with well spaced sites which were paved and flat. Very quiet on a Sunday night. We rolled in around 20:30 and were lucky enough to get a site.

Report Check-In

We spent 2 nights in the Overflow Lot. The 2nd night, we had the lot to ourselves. Flush toilet, hot shower, picnic shelter for shade, potable water. Electricity in the shelter. All good!

Very nice hikes.

NPR at 91.5.

Report Check-In

We showed up around 5 pm on a Tuesday night and were told the campground was full. But when we were circling around to leave the lady at the station flagged us down and said there was space in the "primitive" camping area, aka overflow camping. There were only 3 other guests in spots that night. Cost is $22 and that includes access to hot showers, flush toilets, and a dump station. We were told if we want to stay again we would need to go to the visitor center between 8-9 am the following day to see if there was availability. There wasn't any availability in the full hook up part of 5he campground, but we were able to stay in the overflow lot again. Sites are level gravel and plenty big enough for our sprinter van. The site are right next to one another, so if you're looking for privacy between neighbors, this overflow lot doesn't offer that. It is more of a parking lot. Lots of hiking/biking trails easily accessed from this campsite.

Came in at sunset on a busy Saturday evening and there was plenty of room for us in the overflow area. Peaceful, starry, great hot showers! $22 no hook ups.

This pin is for the serviced sites. The other pin to the NE is for the tents only site.
The quirky thing about this park is if the serviced campground is full, they'll put you in the overflow, but you need to renew your overflow site (O.F.) between 8:00 and 9:00 at the nature centre, otherwise they'll assign your O.F. site to the next person needing an O.F. site, also if a serviced site becomes available through a cancellation, they won't let you renew your O.F. site, you must take the serviced site, then move back to the overflow if no other serviced sites are available the next day, which is typical.
