We spend two nights at the campsite with Lucas, our grandson, and really loved that place! Very good restaurant. Nice pool. Very friendly staff.
We loved the nice little dog Mali and her sweet puppies and the goose as well! Heard many hyenas at night.
We paid 1,000 KSH ppn and 750 KSH for our 8 year old boy.

Exactly what you’d expect. Silly planters and medians made it a tad bit difficult for larger trailers but still doable. Wouldn’t stay much longer than I might since there not much near by.

Nice and clean campground. Sites: Half near river, other half in the shaded woods. Spotless bathrooms, potable water. $15/ nite, 1/2 off w senior pass. Lots of walking trails around. Sadly- The current hosts were not at all cordial- jumped right into telling us how we were breaking the rules. No hellos or anything! Ugh. Dogs MUST be on leash, and you MUST park where the parking block is. We had our pup off leash- there was no one here ! Also- check out time is 11- but it’s not posted anywhere so we were here a bit later. We heard about that too! So…. Despite a nice campground- Linda and Her hubby sucked !!!

this was a great spot. the exact coordinates lead to one of the worst sites up here, but there are two really good, private flat areas with views. we stayed in one of them. probably our favorite campsite of the entire time we have been east. nice escape from hot temps since the location is wide open and high elevation for East coast standards. would definitely come back again. no cell service but an excellent starlink connection!

Thus place is lovely. There are four seperate parking areas in the woods - each for 2 campers and a large parking place as well. We stayed on a night with at least a dozen vans and caravans. No stress. The road is quit loud, but gets better at night. The river is fantastic and loud and wild. The grill place has two large laavus.

multiple spots! About 5 other rvs and car campers when we arrived on a Monday night. Some guy was even playing the drums on top of his PT Cruiser!

night life was amazing! Stars everywhere. quiet night as well.

Great place to get away from the heat! We've been in zion and it was 104°, so getting up to 10000+ in elevation was a great change. was about 50° the night we stayed perfect to camp to in our opinion.

overall, super awesome spot up in the mountains. definitely one to come back too.

As described. Excellent place, perfect to spend a night or spend a few nights, centrally located to parks, volcanoes, waterfalls, etc. Fast wifi, locked parking, very friendly owner/staff. 2 nights, 2 breakfasts, 2 dinners, all for $US 40. Place to do and hang your laundry. Outside tables with wifi. Walk to town.

I got a knock on my door from a cop saying that this area wasn’t for camping.

becoming overused, people driving around the barrier rocks onto the bluff, last night there was a van, motorhome (came in after 11PM), and tenters. The motorhome partially blocked the tenters car. Need to be more mindful of the locals that also use

This is a neighborhood, and is right next to an elementary school. Neighbors have complained, as people have been sprawling near the road with dogs/camping items. In a state with incredible free camping and access to natl forest, this is just lazy and leads to a higher police presence in our small community which we don’t want.

BE VERY CAREFUL. Google took me on the very rough side of Anderson Cove road. MAKE SURE you take it from downtown Dildo (Front Road and Reids Lane). It’s about 1 km on Anderson Cove Road and the last 400m is a bit rough. Not for big rig.

Delicious wood fire grilled chicken. 120 pesos for a half chicken served with rice, spaghetti, beans, homemade tortillas, tomato salad and nice salsa. Didn’t ask about staying because I had plenty of time to keep cycling, but seemed like a chill place to pass the night.

RESERVATION ONLY AND NO CELL SERVICE! MUST RESERVE IN ADVANCE FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Park host told me all NM parks have gone to reservation only. It is really difficult in locations with no cell service (such as this one)

Really nice place to cook food and stretch your legs. There are some no camping signs, and we were only there during the day. There is a spigot at the water fountain that’s great for washing dishes.

Parking lot next to the ticket booth. Many toilets. Toilets have sign showering not allowed. Shady roof. Good 4G.
