Best place ever!
After the fabulous drive from Uyuni, this place is the best place you could have the good fortune to stay.
I stayed a week.
Mario & Monica plus kids are a delight.
Comments from other travelers confirm this is a 'must visit' place.
Five minutes walk to town with everything you need.

This place use to be a great little stop. Four years ago I stopped here and it was like stepping into someone's home, with the stove alight and toys on the ground. The food was authentic and delicious. Today I visited hoping for the same. Unfortunately, they added on to the original building and you now feel like you are at a cheap rest stop where you can buy chips and cheap coffee. The food was not nearly what I was hoping for, but it was eatable. If you need food, water, or a bathroom and have to stop this will suffice.

10p per person. Most towns in Chiapas have these tolls to enter, all the ones south on the Frontera if you enter them off the highway. Happy to contribute to the community we’re visiting!

Amazzzzzing waterfalls!! We were there on a Thursday afternoon and there were only a handful of other people around. Tons of places to swim! Falls are gushing after the hurricane/rainy season beginning, but still dark emerald green (not brown!), not too cold and many safe places to jump in! The quesadilla place right at the entrance rents hammocks for you to bring in, great idea!

Attendant checked our international tag, quoted de international price, we said we didn't have that much cash, so he said he could fill it up at the local price and add 10% to the total price. We were happy with the suggestion and filled up 30 gallons for about 120bols.

This is exactly as stated in the original post! Just pulled up around 6pm and the spigot was very easy to back up to and had great water pressure. There’s no one else here at all. I also enjoyed eating a snack while a deer was just yards away in the woods doing the same!

Excellent place to camp. Extremely friendly hosts. Swimming pool. Excellent restaurant, food made with local produce, wood burning pizza oven, loved their meals. Lots of grass to camp with tent or vehicle. Rooms available. Paid 30000 COP for camping/night. Great walks in countryside. Great wifi. Turning off the main road the road is about 1 km to get here, road is a little rough but doable with any vehicle.

Just a big dirt/gravel lot on the side of the road. Good Verizon 3bars LTE. decent TMobile 2bars LTE. Did not stay here since it’s just on the side of the road- in the middle of town- and I prefer something quieter. But it would serve as a one night stop
In a pinch.

Excellent place, especially if you're on a motorcycle adventure. Cargorider on the same block. Very friendly hosts, cost about 25-30/night, includes full breakfast, very fast wifi, hot showers, cable, secure parking that's locked 24 hrs. Hosts can sell you water, sodas, make hamburgers, etc. Coolest door locks I've ever seen. Room was huge, very comfortable bed. Walk around the block to an excellent bakery/restaurant.

Nice place immediately along the side of Forest service Road 6010 S. Right near a small man-made pond. Room for approximately 30’ RVs and tow vehicles. We camped with a 35’ rig and had plenty of room. Very secluded and pretty. Tons of trees. Evidence of past campers. Help pick up the trash when you are here.

Stayed here in front of the hotel outside their gated parking for one night since the official beach parking up the road was closed. We had a few drinks and dinner at the Buena Vista hotel so were able to use their bathrooms and wifi which also reaches the first spot outside the gate... guy running the bar in the afternoon was super nice and said it's okay to park there but another employee in the morning was super unfriendly which is why we left. Pura Vida!

THE BEST PEOPLE EVER.

Looking for a place to sleep and about to be dark we saw this house had a backyard with enough room for several vans, so we just asked them if it was possible to stay here. Immediately they said: "of course, come in" but we wanted to know about price and their answer was: "of course we don't charge". We finally stayed here two nights and at the end, even after they gave us a very decent food for free too, we had to insist A LOT for them to accept some money from us as a way to return the favours. They just didn't want to say a number, so we gave them what we considered was fair enough and again we had to insist A LOT for them to take it. We had hours and hours of really interesting conversations and the nice view with beautiful hills a creek and farms all around. Despite it's right by the road this place is not noisy at all, there is not much traffic, specially at night, and quietness was what we had all the time.

They build, maintain and repair all kinds of campers, and have a team of technicians with a whole lot of experience. They helped us improve the electric system, steel construction, carpentry, renewing sealants for waterproofness, empty and refill chemical toilet + water and a whole lot more for a very fair price. The owner Gerardo speaks some English, the lead technician Carlos is extremely helpful and wants nothing but the best for your campervan.

On their website it seems like they only do camper rental, but just contact them and ask about repairs or maintenance. Or just go there between 9-13 or 14-17. They will help you (and if they cannot, they will usually find someone who can). Ring the bell, knock on the gate or just open the car gate slightly to get in (they work in the back and don't always hear the bell).
Oh, and beware of the dog. She just wants to play, but she can be overly enthusiastic. But she can escape if you don't close the gate fast enough.

we made it 300m down the road but it became too overgrown for our transit. got a bunch of scratches but it looked promising! off to find something nearby.

Just a few yards up the road from here it opens up slightly and there is a little view camp spot. Road gets a little rougher but doable with 2wd.
Still 2 bars of 5g with T-Mobile, we were able to fit our earthroamed size rig up here, vans and small class c with a little clearance should be fine too

we found this spot when we were trying locate a nearby pin which ended up being inaccessible for a van our size. the main Logging road is in great shape and is nice and wide. any sized vehicle can make it. there were several spots before and beyond this pin, but appears rarely used (no established fire rings). plenty of wood to burn and small side roads to explore.

we tried to see if we could reach the river but the trail got pretty soft so we turned around.

where we stayed was about 25 minutes from the highway.

very quiet, some cell service. enough room for large vehicles or multiple vehicles. enjoy!
