Please note that it isn’t possible to camp in the lava field during rainy season. We camped at the main visitors center. You’ll still get to see this beautiful terrain when hiking and/sandboarding though and may we add that this moon-like scenery is well worth the 45 minute hike!

Cool spots to find for car or tent. Keep in mind that the leading mountain road from Krajè shouldn't be used by trucks >10 m. length. A few hairpins in Krajé are a bit narrow, but when you go a bit wide it's no problem for bigger vehicles.

Pretty clean this time. OK, if you look for it, you will find some left behind garbage, but nothing to worry about. Easy access for all rigs. On your sat nav you see 2 parallell roads leaving the M3 in de direction of the airfield. The right one is paved, the left one isn't. We stayed 2 nights. Quiet and peacefull.

The exact location of the coordinates didn't feel as a spot. Photo's didn't match. Maybe the coordinates are a bit off. We didn't stay.

We had a bit of a challenge to find this spot. Exualy we tried 2 times to find the leading road. We didn't succeed. Are we the only ones?

Stayed here for two nights. Plenty of spots available along the whole beach most are covered by trees. Just need to arrange with day visitors and some of the artisan vendors who set up along the main street. Town has a really nice and chill vibe. Visit before its lost..!

Wonderful spot!!! Flat area where you can camp. Lots of tourist busses stopped but everybody was really friendly

coming from Pr.Rupert ferry late, 01.00 am, we drove straight to this big parkinglot. one car there, turned out to be police. asked them if we could stay, no problem. he only warned us for black bears who seemed to be more agressive than normal. so we kept the dog on the leash.very quiet night, no noise at all

Paid AMD2500 for a bed in mixed dorm. The capsule is only for guys. Unfortunately one of the staff (lady) sleeps in the same dorm and her snoring can shake the whole building. On the 2nd night I have to run to the living room and sleep on the sofa.

Still here and still a stop if you are looking for a covered camping area. Tienda is right across the street in and (depending on the day you are there) you might see kids/youth playing around the cancha. It’s also right next on the highways but with a big wall so you are absolutely not seen from the road. It’s a nice view from the cancha; you have the colorful church near by and some nice palm trees 🌴

It’s nice. We stopped but did not stay but it’s still here :)

Very nice parque with a cute colorful church. There is a covered stage at the park and we were told camping for a night is allowed here.

Plugs, water from a spigot and very nice park. Tienda across the street. People were kind and the park was quiet when we were there

Church is still here and the road is still good packed-dirt. Quiet and incredible views; did not stay but it looked very nice

Restaurante/comedor with sea food plates also and normal almuerzos.

We don’t eat meat and got big plates with menestra (lentils), rice, fried cassava (yuca!), and salad + a juice for $1.50.

Normal menu includes a soup. Staff is super kind :) There is wifi but we did not ask for it.

We spent our last night in Ecuador here.

This point is reference to two possible camping spots. One: the covered chanca by the church. It’s big and there is a tienda right across the street.

Second option: under the church. Space for 2-3 tents. It’s covered and folks told us that cyclists have camped here before.

When we were there the whole town did not have water. Bathrooms by the park were open but they were filthy. Still, short ride to the border the next day.

The lake is fenced up and there is a Centro turistico here now. Not possible to wild camp anymore.

No construction work anymore. Road is partly paved and partly unpaved, but in good condition.

A few places (6-8) near the lake, behind the logging camp, very beautiful scenery, some firepits, 1 pit Toilette, boat ramp, nice lake, also for big rigs, found these place in WikiCampCanada App.

free till 10. Juni 2022, ask tourist Information before, otherwise 32 $ dry camping, nice places at the river, firepits, trees for shadow, but many mosquitos, very quite

All these places are at the mainroad, lots of truck passing by, it is so much dust, horrible.

Nice spot to stay for the night. It is an abandoned campground. No services, no firepits or leftover picnic tables. We were on route to Edmonton from Manitoba. Easy entrance, just follow directions posted. Quiet only heard a train the next morning.

We decided to pass on staying the night here. It was too open and was feet away from the tracks. Very nice view though. We carried on to Radisson.

Probably the best site on this stretch of road, with a few grassy areas to choose from. not all level though, but tent /car camping definitely possible

There are a couple of magnificent valleys waiting to be explored from this turnoff.
One will take you to a viewpoint of a lake and a glacier (check maps.me). Others will take you who knows where... my path was blocked by show. Nevertheless, truly stunning here. Camping sites readily available.
Definitely 4x4 or motorbike only.

We spend 2 nights on this street in a suv. Quiet place. Be discreet and don't put your trash on floor.

Arrived here late but went to sleep to get up at sunrise to see the elks in the morning. We were a bit worried about our lack of petrol but still had a lovely drive and saw lots of mothers and babies

o dono da cabana é muito atencioso com motorhomes. Fornece água, energia, wi-fi. A cabana tem chuveirinho e banheiros ( não tão limpos) mas, ambiente tranquilo, fora de temporada e durante a semana praia quase deserta.

Solid spot. Stayed here 3 nights along with a couple others. One night had some meth heads but they left and it was super quiet.
