After 3 days of raining every single site was under 0.5-3in of water, I found no dry land and finally stayed at site G. Not much mosquitos but plenty of other bugs. During hunting season camp is pretty packed but a lot of hunters go back to cities during workdays so just ask if you can spend a night or two near someone if can't find a spot.

Great little spot by the river. You’re right beside the road but it’s not a busy road so you don’t hear much. There is a fire ring and plenty of drift wood down by the river to make a good fire.

September 2020. It's technically not free anymore. there is a self pay station. no one was collecting, no host. the lake is scenic and pretty clear for swimming (back toward the bridge better than the campsites). what no one mentions is this is near the traintracks and there are trains all night and day like every half hour or so and they honk everytime they come through. so if you are sound sensitive it's not great. I wear earplugs every night so it wasn't that bad. there is also a bright light nearby for planes or something that blinks on and off all night. other than that nice place close to town. check out the standing on the corner park and have a meal at the historic la posada hotel or just walk around inside/outside. the food is excellent and not that expensive for the quality and atmosphere. bathrooms open, showers off. cute bats sleeping on the ceiling in the restroom.

We did the border crossing from Tanzania to Zambia. We showed our negative COVID-19 test and our visa was issued after one phone call. Everything went as usual and smoothly.

A beautiful campsite on an equestrian farm, with fishing in the dams. Due to COVID we camped on the deck that the fixed tents are usually on, so were facing over the dam and it was AMAZING!

Really cool spot, but unsure what camping would be like post COVID.

Cost was R300 for two people

As described, a lot of spots all around the lake. Very quiet at night in this period of the year and during COVID-19 lockdown so probably not relevant. Some trees can provide wind protection. Uneven terrain so may be difficult to setup a tent, but for a vehicle it’s easy to find be horizontal. And it is big rig friendly if your camper is not to low. Our 15 tons truck didn’t have any issue.

Nice little beach and picnic area. Very close to the road though so a bit noisy but we slept well anyway.

We stayed 2 nights. Nice campsites, nice restaurant and lodge. Friendly staff and owners. The shop in the reception is well stocked with meat, drinks, curious...and many other items. Well known for the scenic walking trails and 80 km of mountain bike tracks.

Mr. Kohout is a farmer with a dedicated plot available for camping. You check in at his house, pay the fee ($10), and pick a spot. You can also skip to just picking a spot - Jerome will find you. The camp area is right along the banks of the Castle Rock river, near the tiny town of Castle Rock. There is an access lane and gate on the south side of County Q just past the river bridge.

As campgrounds go, this is as basic as it gets - a spider infested one-holer pit toilet, no running water or electricity, cows occasionally pastured in the campground with expected cow pie consequences, etc. But Mr. Kohout's property is amazingly beautiful, plus it's not exactly on the beaten path, so you can reasonably expect to have it all to yourself!

Nice campground within National Forest, spaces far enough apart for decent privacy. Pit toilets, bring your own water, pack your own trash out.

No sign BUT Camping absolutely forbidden, it is national protected fishing zone. Even driving here isn’t allowed also you see a small forest road. Fine will be 3500-4800 NOK the police men told us, and chased us away

We spent few days at Lamplighters Campground and our stay were really nice. The campground is really well maintain: you have good sit with some tree, table and fire pit, there is a kitchen where you can cook and wash your dishes with hot water, washrooms are really nice (as in an hotel) and very clean !! There is also a playground for childrens. The owner is lovely and very helpful ! The wifi is very fast. The only thing is that the train is close, but it's quiet during the night. The city center is 5 minutes drive, so perfect location to enjoy Revelstoke and all the things to do here. We can absolutly recommand  this campground if you plan to come to Revelstoke !

Quaint little campground on the river. Sites are now $40-$55 a night with power and water hookups depending on if you have a riverside spot or not. Free hot showers, super friendly staff, phone service.

A nice place to stay the night. Almost no noise, only a few cars drove by in the evening. Can get very windy. The most beautiful sunset over Primosten and the howls of shakals to fall asleep to.

Really good water pressure and super convenient to access - pulled right up to it. I don’t need a hose for my rig, but they have one handy for those that do.

Nice spot above the river, in the forest. Has a fire ring. Some trash :( View of water & direct Path to the river :) Close to the road which can be a bit busy on the weekends but quiets down at night. This is one of about 8 spots between here and the highway to the south (16east). Probably more spots to the north of here! Despite the many signs saying the road is closed (they’re building a parking lot for the waterfall), it was not when we passed through on Saturday and Sunday. No cell Service (Verizon) anywhere along this county road. Go see the falling water waterfall & swimming hole just up the road - added a picture of it!

Nice spot, directly on the river. Adding that this is one of the first spots along the road if approaching from the south (there are 2 before this spot, but without water access). If you continue further north along the county road, there are a bunch more spots along the river. Looks like everything south before the Falling Water waterfall (which you should see!) is private property, so it’s a bit of a drive down the gravel road. Road is in good condition and any 2wd can make it.

A castle next to the lake. Very nice site. We camped on the lake. Camping spots are well maintained with electric lights, braai/bbq area and a basin for dishes. Swimming pool that can be used by campers when the hotel is not busy. Warm showers and clean toilets. Very helpful owners and staff.

Parking lot at trail head of Lower Falls. Beede Falls. Parking lot that can probably fit about 10 cars. Off a super gravely/rocky road so heads up. Apparently it’s usually busy for hikers (not overnighters) so could get busy in the am.
