phil | There are some small 'no tents' signs to indicate no camping but no real other signage like in other national parks, so we spent the night. After the hike a warden knew we were here overnight and gave us a friendly warning that there is no camping in any of the national park car parks. Assume this also means some of the unofficial car parks up the road with no signs (eg at taff trailhead) but you might be OK there. |

instagram.com/thesinginggoldsmith | Gorgeous Parks Canada spot called “The Landscape of Grand Pre.” Has a big parking lot, and picnic area. Didn’t see any “No” signs either, so possibly good for staying overnight. (I only spent about 3 hours here mid-day reading and taking in the gorgeous scenery). Busy but quiet spot. |

instagram.com/thesinginggoldsmith | Beautiful spot! Lots of locals fishing there when the tide is in though, so very little privacy. Popular during the day when the tide is out with dog-owners, too. It was a quiet night’s sleep, but I woke up to a slightly obscene drawing in the sand behind my vehicle (like, 10ft tall). |

kinkaye37 | Small lush green overnight spot off the road. Very quiet and serene. Just off small backroad-no one drove by at all. Off 542 towards Mt. Baker, turn onto Wells Creek Road/NF 33 and drive past Nooksak Falls. Continue on 33 about a mile. There is a wild camping spot on curve of road with a fire pit with great vista views if you don’t mind heights (my husband doesn’t like!). Next to that site is a small road with post 3310- follow that road about a half mile and will arrive at large clearing on left side of road. Maybe used by loggers many years ago, now a beautiful green cleared area. No fire ring, but could probably build one. Room for small rig/trailer, but not a big one. |
