Large open spot. Four vehicles or so lots of spots through out this area usually some what busy but keeping going and u can get some solitude. 30 min to Salida and about the same to Buena vista.

lots of dispersed camping sites along all the roads. we went back toward the CT trailhead. some parts of the roads are rocky but we've been able to manage in our Promaster Ext van. No amenities, but lots of privacy in many sites, great place to get into the CT, and mountain bike.
Report Check-InWe didn’t end up driving all the way to the creek bed...the road got rocky and we were spending the night only to leave very early and didn’t want to have to deal with too many bumps in our 2WD high clearance van. We found a spot (one of many) in an open clearing before you cross Eddy Creek. It had a fire ring, bushes for relative privacy, and amazing mountain views! Not windy or noisy at all, despite some nearby RVs generators. Highly recommend! Less than 20 min from Mt Princeton Hot Springs if you want to get in line early.
Report Check-InGreat dispersed camping, nice open areas in the back. Good Verizon signal if you have a visual of the top of Chalk Cliffs. Was able to work from this area and video conference.
