Campsite on the edge of the river below the waterfalls. Safe spot. Ask permission from Gordon the missionary. Camping is for free. Very interesting selfmade hydroelectric system and waterpump below the falls.

This appears to be a very new site. Currently only 2 sites completed but more are being added. Both sites have there own facilities, shower, toilet and scullery.
It is in the middle of the small town but seems very quiet and safe. The owner lives across the road. Access is therefore no problem.
It's a level gravel stand with some shade.
It cost R250 per night for a caravan and 2 adults.

Indeed a beautiful drive that leads to an abandoned power station or something like that. Might be used by local youth to hang out; graffiti, some old couches and firewood can be found around the buildings.

The spot itself is very nice. Concealed between the bushes and situated between the mountain tops, so relatively wind free. No garbage around.

Great spot in between the fields, got the spot from park4 night. You need to pass through a gravel road. This spot noted is the higher bank of the river, think it floats in winter. Farmer past us a few times didn’t say anything, quiet night! Peaceful and clean!

An amazing Jordanian run restaurant whose menu is wonderfully biased to middle eastern cuisine. Fantastic food for a reasonable price. Does not serve alcohol, but the fruit drinks are lovely.

Nice campground on a reservoir. Many of the sites are on the lake which is nice. I arrived on Sep 11 and that was the date this year that they stopped charging, so essentially free. Got crowded on Saturday but sites are large so not as big a deal. There is a boat ramp so there’s possibility of motor boats, but only kayaks and wind surfers were there while I was here. Nice hiking or mountain bike trail at end of campground. No real phone reception to speak of. About a 6 mile drive back out and down and you’ll find good reception. I liked it here.

Quite flat place near lake Izra, with shadows from trees around. There's table with fire places. No need for AWD but place could be muddy after rain.
On the other side of the lake there is small restaurant/buffet.

A real gem of a Walmart for sleeping :). Not near any noisy roads and nice and dark out back near the movie theater.

We came to explore the other pins and while they would have worked, we really wanted Internet. We made it up the hill with a high clearance van and 4WD was not necessary. It’ll shake you up a bit, but passable. This spot is private, backs up to the canyon, and has a fire ring. Two bars of service on ATT.

Its an amazing paisagem! no dubit visit here. we arrived with our motorhome, and stay free in the park (liberated and slow wi fi and toilette 24hs, not shower). you can pay 3 reals for one área a bit little, our choose the camping paying 10 each person for the day (25 for the night) bigger and wonderfull. during the weekend Very full

Nice place, no shade unless you are under the canopy area so if in a tent you wake with the sun! Owners are the nicest people in Italy, showers/toilets work good (no toilet seat or paper). Wifi is a bit weak and our mobile didn't really work here well either. cold beer for sale at reception, we paid 22€ for 2 people/2 motos/1 tent. Worth a stay for the sights around (Napoli/ Pompeii)

The views were really pretty but we didn’t see very many secluded camping spots with trees. If that’s what you’re looking for, know there were only a few. One of the sites had glass and garbage and there is also a rough looking abandoned car right in your view from one of the camping spots.

It looks like it could be a little challenging getting around if there’s any rain. We drive around some mud puddles. But again, really pretty views. Plenty of wide open places to set up camp with no privacy.

Spacious green campsite surrounded by rainforest with lots of hornbills. We liked it here, simple but clean! Good hot shower and nice little bar area. We did a hike with a guide in the rainforest and through tea plantations, payed $15. p.p. (normally $30p.p. but we got a Corona discount.) They also offer night walks to see cammelions. You can do the Mbomole hill walk by yourself, it starts in Amani village at the reception where you also pay the rainforest fees.
The last part of the road is in bad condition, but doable in the dry season.
Camping is still $10 p.p p.n.

Informative and interesting memorial to Andrew Bain and near to where he lived - road builder and geologist who built this road to Fort Beaufort as well as many others and passes in South Africa in the 1800's. Road side picnic spot too, no charge.

Price still the same. Everything seems quite open and so security seems lax. Pitches are not that flat. Caravan area smelt of animal urine so we left. Do not recommend as camping unless taking up the guesthouse option at ZAR300 pppn.

We can stay one night in the parking. Very quiet with WC and water tap.

Je suis resté une nuit dans le parking du parc. Très silencieux. Il y a des voisins donc il faut être discret un minimum.

On the surface, this is a fantastic spot. But when we arrived, it was covered with garbage and most of all used toilet paper and human waste. A large group of tenters on the beach were breaking all the Covid rules and happily adding to the mess. Campers from the previous night had left their fire smouldering.
We spoke to a local resident who came by in a hazmat outfit to clean up the mess. Current opinion is that the area is going to be taken over by the parks board and fenced off to keep boondockers out.
Let's try and get it together. Boondocking is difficult enough. Let's not make it worse by giving the authority reason to shut down more spots. Put out your fires properly, take your garbage with you and if you or your pet have to poop in the woods, at least bury it and all the paperwork too.

As mentioned below, lovely forest sites that are free. Our rig is 8m long and agree that much longer could prove an issue as not all sites are that deep. No cell reception.
