This is the same place as the (wrongly spelled) Enau Camp ! Data should be merged together.
We spent 3 peaceful and cool nights up there and you need to know a few things before you go there :
1. you need to connect to the forest reserve through MUHEZA town because there is a new china-made road (3-2023 still partly under construction) which saves you a lot of bad roads and time ! Even if your navigation system tells you different (maps.me, google-maps and even OSM did missguide us !) add manually Muheza and Mubembe as additional stops to find the best road.
2. even choosing the best roads it will still take you at least 1,5hrs if not 2hrs (we needed) from Muheza to Amani. so calculate carefully. roads mostly gravel and dirtroads. last few kilometers from gate are very bad and you definitely need 4x4 low and higher ground clearance. also restrictions apply concerning size of vehicle. our Landcruiser with campershell (H 2.80, L 5.20, W2.00) was just the MAX to make it ! Best thing is a 4x4 car with roof top tent. if during rainy season better forget it !
3. Covid hit them badly and no guests made it up there in the past really. so staff was mostly sent home and the place looks a bit rundown now. BUT still a lovely place, nicce people. not much shade but for 1 - 2 vehicles ok. flat, levelled area only in the center where is no shade so be prepared to level your vehicle.
4. small restaurant still there but cook sent home. on arrangement he will come back and cook for you. Long drop compost toilets and shower in clean condition, small kitchen available. simple, clean rooms available.
5. park entrance fee is 23,000 TSh pp, 10,000 for car (2 people approx 25$). its one off NOT daily !
6. no fuel available after Muheza town for your 2hrs up and 1.5hrs back - be aware of this ! Tigo phone best reception, Vodacom somehow ok.

All in all a very nice and lovely place for nature lovers (we did walks in the rainforest areas with Muhudi the onsite manager) but its not worth only for 1 night. surely best thing is if you are fully self-contained - do your shopping first ;-) PRICE for camping is 23500/pppn (10$ pppn)
You can call Muhudi in advance to arrange your stay or have them prepared the cook also check roadcondition with him if unsure. his phone number is +255 745 195 312.

Spacious green campsite surrounded by rainforest with lots of hornbills. We liked it here, simple but clean! Good hot shower and nice little bar area. We did a hike with a guide in the rainforest and through tea plantations, payed $15. p.p. (normally $30p.p. but we got a Corona discount.) They also offer night walks to see cammelions. You can do the Mbomole hill walk by yourself, it starts in Amani village at the reception where you also pay the rainforest fees.
The last part of the road is in bad condition, but doable in the dry season.
Camping is still $10 p.p p.n.

Pleasant spot in forest with some nice walking. Showers are great with plenty pressure and hot water. Camping is USD 10 per person, no power as they are on solar.
If rainy the road up is a fair challenge and will take at least 2hours from the tar road.
SPOILER Alert: the forest reserve costs are now USD20 per person and USD25 for a foreign vehicle.

A fantastic, grassy campsite set in the forest in the Amani Nature Reserve. Hot showers and clean compost toilets. A communal fire pit, and fire wood provided. Also a Banda and large sink near the toilets to wash-up.

Plenty of trails to walk from the campsite- one of the trails can be done without a guide.
An abundance of bird life and we walked through the forest every night and saw chameleons as well as plenty of other creatures.

The drive up to Emau Hill is also beautiful and fun terrain- when we went it was quite muddy so be prepared!

$10pppn for camping
$10pp for entry into the reserve (a once off fee)
$10 for the vehicle
