pull out on a country side road, very quiet by the river. 1 fire pit ring. a bit of garbage around but good spot very good place to spend a night
Report Check-InWe stayed at one of the spots along the river on the way to this spot. It’s a neighborhood road so you get traffic during the day and in the evenings. Had two police drive past us and didn’t stop to say anything. Locals walking there dogs and hiking were very nice.
Report Check-InSeptember 2022, this site has been posted as no overnight camping. We pulled in, set up and a bylaw officer came and told us to move or we could be fined by Natural Resource Officer. We asked about the small spots up the road a bit and they said the town and regional district bylaws do not allow overnight parking in those spots. Luckily there are a lot of rec sites around Smithers so we went to one of those instead.
Report Check-InGreat place by the river, and no bugs!! A bit tricky to back in, but can be used as a pull-through, although that’s less level.
Report Check-InGreat little spot by the river. You’re right beside the road but it’s not a busy road so you don’t hear much. There is a fire ring and plenty of drift wood down by the river to make a good fire.
Report Check-InNice spot overlooking the bulkley River. There are a couple of single spots a bit earlier, and a boat launch that takes you to the bank of the river. This spot gets you a view with easy access. Just off the road but with pull through access.
