Well it was a terrible spot.
We obviously can find better than that.
But in a high season full of tourists
Sure !!!

It´s a very nice campsite with green gras under a huge Marula tree with big braai place. Clean abolution block with hot shower (nice pressure) and a sink behind the building.
The owners Erika & Markus are super friendly hosts and Markus keeps the gras green also during the dry season. The campsite is set on a private farm with real "bushfeeling", during our stay we saw Dikdiks, Kudu and porcupines.

Suri Camp also offers a luxury self catering tent with a nice view over the sourrounding land and a private waterhole just a few meters far. Close to the tent, there is a nice infinity-pool in construction and will be open soon!
We enjoyed our stay very much and we are heartly recommending this camp to everyone who loves nature!
MTC reception is available.

N$ 500,- for the tent per night.

Guide who also works for Emau hill camp. We were not very enthusiastic about his guiding, his English was sometimes hard to understand. But he is a friendly guy who knows the area well.

Stayed here for two nights at spot 53. Nice spot, not advertised as a double but is very large and flat. Pretty secluded from the other campsites. Quiet for the most part except one campsite playing music at 4AM. Picnic table and fire pit with grill attached. A good amount of campers but it wasn’t filled. Bees, flies, nats, and mosquitos galore. Two tents cost $24 per night. Dumpsters for trash and bathrooms and showers but didn’t use. Overall nice place!

Large open lot. Well lit. Great view against the fence and the Hoover dam trail head. Staff was welcoming and seems safe and fairly quiet.

It was too windy up at My Washington, so we came down looking for a spot. This is down a logging road with a gate blocking off the rest of the access. We pulled in in front of gate but off to one side. Quiet, hardly visible from the road. Bonus: we got 2-3 bars of LTE!

Just a stretch of sandy abandoned road, running through the little forest parallel to Storvassveien road (#82) along the Storvatnet lake shore.
Follow it further and you'll get to a small bridge, blocked by stones, road is in disuse since a long time, and cars can't proceed further. We parked for night at one of many places where it is wide enough to let other car still pass just in case. You can still hear the passing traffic on the highway (not a busy one), but trees in between effectively block the view, so no one sees you from the main street. The abandoned stretch is fairly long, allowing a lot of space and there are some good approaches to the lake from here. Good alternative to staying directly next to the road in full view, good entry point to the lake, otherwise nothing special and no facilities whatsoever.

Great option for a night or a few days. Everybody was very nice and it was cool to watch the kites and paragliding. Dusty but dark and quiet.

Fantastic campground! $25 for serviced site. My kids used the kayaks and petal boat. Host supplied life jackets. Worth the stop here!

We highly recommend that camping
the owners are incredibly nice (very good human being) always willing to help you.
they accepted us in the middle of this Covid situation.
- the setting is nice (lots of funny birds singing)
- good workshop for repairing stuffs (soldering, cutting.... he has everything and show you how to use it if needed)
- the owner used to be a chef, and actually produces bread croissants pastries and pizza pan for restaurants in Lima. so you can see with him to buy some. we are french and we totally approve the quality.
- perfect for families with kids (lots of space)

Great free camping right on the river. Very rough, narrow, sandy road coming down from the paved bridge. 3-day limit.

Nice and quiet spot. Houses around here are fenced it, so more privacy. The other side looks like apartment complex. A trailer and another truck are also here overnight. It's close to Fish Creek provincial park, and there's public washroom in the park.

Stayed here again for two nights and it’s even better in the summer! So many van/RV/tents. Some people look like they’ve been here longer than the limit of 14 days, but there’s plenty of spots for everyone. Cell service on ATT is spotty, but free entertainment with the parasailed. Pit toilets are the only amenity.

Easy access for a 2WD on a dirt road. Huge flat area in the woods with man made fire pits.
It’s far enough from the highway that you can’t hear the road noise. No cell service.

Really nice place. As described, several pull-offs many with river access and great cell phone signal further down the road. A little trash around our site but overall not bad. Nice place to stay, especially when you need cell service for work. Would stay here again!
