Description

MODERATOR NOTE: Place removed because camping is illegal here. Day Use Only, Signs posted and enforced

A little south of Burlington is a beautiful park. This is a parking lot with free overnight parking. Park closes at 8 and they lock the gate so be sure you’re on the outer side of the gate or you’ll be locked in. Nice quiet spot to spend the night.

Latest Check-Ins

i would not try to park here. there is a Karen down the street who will come blaring her horn at 11pm and call the cops. i had tried parking here fall of 2020 and had her honking at my door so just left, this time because or previous posts i decided to just wait it out and deal with the cops but once they arrived they told me i couldn't park there overnight, they said they had to deal with her a lot so I'm guessing she bugged then so much they started moving people. cops told me to park in the old Hannafords lot across the street from Lowes, there is a no overnight parking sign there but cop said they don't get call for it and usually don't move people if so.

Report Check-In

Around 7pm a woman in a car tore into the lot, held her horn down for a few seconds, and then got out and knocked on my window and then the other van who was there. She told us we can’t park here and we have to leave — I told her there are no signs saying that we can’t park there so I didn’t see the issue. She kept at it so I told her to call the police if she wanted. Police showed up, were very cool and relaxed, and told us that there was nothing prohibiting us from parking there overnight and we were free to stay there if we wanted to.
Very quiet dark spot and also around the corner from Burton Snowboards HQ and of course this nice park.
Just wanted to give a heads up that there might be a hysterical neighbor lady on the prowl, but don’t let her fluster you... just be calm and kind if the police stop by and they will likely do the same. After all this woman and her horn honking made much more of a disturbance than we did. Happy travels!

Stayed one night here. Super quiet, near a cute neighborhood. Left early in AM and had no issues.
