Great solitude and scenery. the river was not running and there were cow patties everywhere but very secluded. full cell service.
Report Check-InGreat little spot right off of Highway 93 where we pulled over to get some sleep. Very close to the Highway but once we settled in the road noise was minimal. Just an FYI there is a pull off spot right off of the highway with a trash can that truckers frequently use but we went up the road about 1/10th of a mile for our spot.
Report Check-InWe followed the GPS coordinates and as the previous visitor mentioned, these coordinates take you a little past the point where you should stop. So about .2 tenths of a mile before these coordinates indicate is the end spot, you will see a little road on the right and this is where you should pull over to park. With a little maneuvering of your rig, you will be in a flat enough area to sleep comfortably. We are in a 19 foot Revel Sprinter. We had a lovely Valentine’s dinner and were enjoying a glass of wine when a quick approaching storm started to move in. With extremely high winds we decided to err on the side of caution and we headed back down towards the highway. The roads were okay with some moisture & light mud tonight but we didn’t want to chance a snowstorm. We found a place to pull over right down the road about 2 miles & right before the highway where we stayed for the night. I’ll post that area in a separate post.
Report Check-InWe followed Google maps and it took us just past the marked location, we still found a nice spot near the creek though. I think you need to turn right before heading downhill to get to the overlook. Surprisingly nice!
