Nice area. 2bars on ATT “5G”. Only person here and cleaner than most sites I’ve come across.

Seems a little village now and front they are growing veggies so not possible to park. Maybe for a tent or some travelers by bikes but not with a car.

Looks like a village is near the place has there where quite lot of people hanging around, so not quiet anymore. As we wanted privacy we did not stay but if you do not mind you can probably ask and stay around.

This is a public harbor so can park here overnight.
Protected from the wind. Quiet.
When you stand facing the water you’ll see a road that goes uphill a bit; we drove up there and parked a little further down that road in the trees.. you can walk to the waterfront.
Super quiet

Spent a peaceful night here last night, my sprinter tucked in among about a dozen vans, campers and RVs. Flat, quiet. Got a late start this morning—it was 9 and all the others were gone—and a community officer knocked on the door to tell me that, despite rumors to the contrary, overnight parking in this lot is actually not legal. He said it was for snow plowing reasons and he agreed that there were no signs posted saying this, which is why he was just knocking to let people know. He said the town is working on clarifying and establishing an alternative, but that for now, technically, overnight parking is not permitted anywhere within the city limits; you have to drive out to the county where you can stay on any public land for 3 days.

Great spot, pretty level, fantastic views and good cell service. Some other cars passed in the evening and morning, but all seemed to be other campers/gringos. Some old bottles and trash on the hillside, but otherwise fairly clean.

la leña Campestre is a restaurant open until 6pm. as we went there, owner let us stay for free (as soon as you consulate in restaurant) for the night and use bathroom.

place is guarded at night, there is wifi and electricity. owner accepted that we add this place on ioverlander, but doesn't want to transform his restaurant in camping. therefore, he is welcoming only camper van (no tent allowed). we didn't ask for big rigs.

perfect stop before going to the delta del estero for example.

yup, it's a KOA. nice level gravel spots, almost no one here right now, thanks to flooding and storms. $70/night for full hook-up. they have laundry, propane, bathrooms with showers, game room, shuffleboard, basketball, putting green, and a general store. wifi is quite decent now, but probably slower when more people are on it.

Very nice place to stay. We ended our cycling tour through Namibia in Katima Mulilo and spent here four nights in a large room with cooking corner. Everything very clean and well maintained. Payed 800 (normally 900) per day. Includes a very good breakfast..Dinner can be ordered.
Can recommend this place. Would come back here again.

Stayed here for 1 night. Very nice campground. Lots of grass, enough shade.
They allow tents, RV and also have rooms to rent.
The pool is cleaned weekly and they have a little shop with super low prices.
Daniel is an extremely nice person.
Toilets are in ok shape.
There's a football pitch and volleyball.
Potable water and decent wifi only near the reception.
Price: 800 pesos/person /// 500 pesos/vehicle

For us the system was down and they couldn’t give us SOAT. So we took the risk and drove to the Bolivian border without insurance.

My GPS took me to Midway Fish Camp Rd- DO NOT GO THIS WAY!

You want the entrance off Hunter Fish Camp Road. Follow signs for Blue Springs Rec area (closed temporarily). Plus they don't allow dogs, so this is a good option to launch your kayak.

After I picked up 2 bags of trash, it was a nice spot for the night. Open 24hrs, very quiet. Only 2 fishermen and some local chickens! Level. Garbage & port-o-johns. There's a sign that says this place floods in March.

Camped at this spot in my truck and pop-up tent. A bit awkward to get to as the military check point is right there but I crossed coming north from Guerrero Negro and then did a U turn and headed onto the dirt road. The stand of palm trees is a fantastic spot to make a base, although closer to the beach would have been nice too if it hadn’t been so windy. Hiked and explored around the beach and desert, with a private fishing camp (private property sign visible on the beach) if you turn left. Saw no one except friendly truck on the beach ripping around. Palm trees is a nice place to make camp as it stands out from a distance and you are able to orient yourself as you explore. Herd of a dozen cows and bulls wandering around, lots of neat plants to look at, bones on the beach, shore birds. I was able to gather enough wood from the ground to make a fire for several hours. Would reccomend!
