I am the "Karen" that "@keepinupwithkove" referred to on Feb 9th.  What he neglected to divulge was his rig was well over 30' and took up 3 of the palapas, as he parked parallel to the water.  He was set up with 2 starlinks, huge inflated fishing boat, generator running constantly and all the comforts of home with chairs and rugs etc.   Zofemat came down early morning, a few days later and said "absolutely no overnight camping" and a van was told by Zofemat to collect their belongings and move out immediately.  The No Overnight Parking signs will be placed and Zofemat said they would strictly enforce the rule.  The one truth @keeping upwithcove stated was "she (me) was not rude."  I never said I called the feds on any past campers, I did not etc etc etc.  So, who is the entitled "Karen" in this case.

Really nice place to camp. However, there is an American Karen who's decided that it's "her" beach. She had the maintenance guys (who quite obviously didn't care) knock on our door at 7:30 AM after the second night, and she then took it upon herself to "inform" us that "Camping here is illegal (it isn't, there are no signs), that you "can't park on the beach" (locals have been parking here all week and we aren't on the beach). Also, the police drove by us at least twice yesterday and ignored us. She said "She'd give us a few minutes to move" I guess she thinks she has a badge. Anyway, what certainly isn't illegal either is parking here during the day, so we ignored her and stayed the rest of the day. My advice, fight the Karens of the world and don't be a Karen. Don't let an unhappy woman prevent you from camping here. If she shows up, ask her to point out the "No Camping" signs that don't exist.

update: had a lady come up and tell us that it’s mexican law that no vehicles are allowed on the beach. LOL (american gringa) she wasn’t rude about it but she was “just making sure we weren’t staying long” she told us that this is not a campsite and they had to call the feds on someone before. I just smiled, let her get it all out, and wished her a good day… very hoa & very karen.

This is a good spot. dirt/sand road coming in that’s pretty uneven and bumpy, soft sand at the entrance but I was able to get up to the palapas. I only have 2wd. Felt very safe and was very open only 2 other people around. Although, if it was packed it would be a very tight squeeze. Not ideal for “big” rigs. There is quite a bit of atv & 4x4 traffic and noise so if you’re noise sensitive this might not be the best spot. 3/4 bars LTE with At&t enough to stream and play videos. It’s a beautiful spot with restaurants/bars within walking distance- the wind picks up quite a bit in the afternoon but mornings are perfect for swimming/paddle boarding/fishing. Beach is the cleanest i’ve been to so far. Enjoy🫶🏻

cool spot but if you want to be in the beach by the palapas you will need to be in a van or a 4x4 vehicle for the last couple of ones. we tried it with our 30ft skoolie and we are too heavy. so we parked behind the fence and spent a nice quiet night.

Perfect sandy beach. Free. No amenities at all. Palapas are close together and many in front of homes. Some locals were not thrilled with some others camping out here too long. Sounds like a few days and use as little room as possible or the community will "hold a meeting" and threaten to call the federalies. We only stayed a few days, but some friends were there a couple weeks and they were harrassed.

Taking the beach to the South a bit, this spot is much quieter and darker. 4WD is a must. Be careful not to drive down the huge ditch if staying high up on the beach.

This is a great place to camp on the beach. If you stay at the palapas you can get away with 2wd. if you go right id suggest 4wd. Saturday nights are very busy and the resort plays very loud music from 9pm -2am. We stayed here a few nights and only had issues with the loud music and barking stray dogs.

Got here our very first night in Baja. We got in dark so didn’t park in the beach, just right in front of it by the house to the left.
There was a bigger rig, keeps and cars on the beach camping together.
In the morning we parked on the beach and spent the day. It’s nice and quiet, even for a Sunday morning.
Totally recommend. Seems safe.
At night there’s no stores or restaurants, except a 500 pesos buffet on the beach, 10min walk.
Very camping friendly spot.

Don’t take the right lane! You’ll get stuck.

I wouldn't stay here. Drove in with our 144 Sprinter, it's a small alley at the end of a residential road next to a house and a fenced property. Only enough parking for 2 or 3 cars without blocking the entrance to the beach. We stayed at La Ribera Public Beach instead.

stayed here a night. There were couple of other overlanders. Beautiful and quiet beach. Quite a few expat walk around this beach. If you walk tge Beach uo little bit there is a nice restaurant where you can have great dinner. cost was in $300 pesos range.
way far saw Dolphins jumping. had to use my binoculars to see them.
Porta John available 24/7.

lovely beach with palapas near some houses. very quiet and beautiful, except a few ATVs and a local family. careful with the sand off main strip behind palapas!

Report Check-In

Great spot! You can park at the entrance or (if you have a 4x4) right at the beach next to one of the palpas. We parked by the last one to the right and stayed a week. The beach is super calm and quiet at night. During the day there are many friendly expats crossing it back and forth on quads. We spent our Christmas here <3

There are public toilets ,thrash hins and a good Telcel signal. Good jogging and kitesurfing. Gets super windy at times, but that goes for whole Baja this time a year.

Definitely recommended!

Amazing location just next to beach. There were some local people staying overnight at beach palapas too. We did park next to a house that looked like haven’t used for a while but maybe that’s just off season

Amazing place!

We regret not spending the night here. Such a paradise beach, relax and quiet.

The palapas are everything.

Water is just perfect for swimming, one of the best beaches in Baja.

It’s a must if you are nearby.

Great spot, stayed 2 nights right on the beach in our 22ft Promaster van. There is an area of solid packed sand right at the marked location between the entrance to the beach and some cabañas that you can drive on. Wouldn't drive any further in to the beach proper as the sand is very soft and others have mentioned turtles.

Went out about 300m on the paddleboard and saw some fish and rays. Whales breaching in the distance too. I went fishing in that same spot and caught a puffer fish, oops. Managed to catch and release without getting spiked!

This beach is at the end of a street that is part of a homeowners association and it seems to be pretty much entirely expat-owned. They have private security that comes by a couple times a day and there is clearly somebody keeping the beach clean, taking garbage away, and portapotties were "serviced" Monday morning while we were here. We had barely even stepped out of our van when an expat living in a beach home stepped up to greet us, told us we were welcome to stay, and even gave us some fresh fish right out of his fridge that he had caught the day prior.

Overall fantastic spot, so nice it almost feels a bit fake - we have gotten used to much more rugged spots and by accessible spots like this being packed with locals. Not the case in this semi-private neighborhood beach.

If this spot is full, there's a similar spot just down the road that seems good, accessed through an arroyo just north of the Tienda Popular (small grocery store which also has an agua purificada attached).

Fantastic spot, we stayed two nights and are very grateful for it!

2 nights. 23’ Class A. Parked just outside beach along fence. Quiet neighborhood. Kind folks. Free spot. Be respectful. Dog friendly & waste bags provided. Los Barriles about 3km away.

Nous sommes en vr 29 pied et ne pouvons pas aller dans le sable qui es mou mais nous avons dormi juste avant la plage sur la fin de route sans problème. Très calme. Parfait pour une nuit.

Report Check-In

Nice quiet beach. It’s around homes so be respectful the Niegbers. Stayed here two nights

Report Check-In

Parking at beach entrance. Could go on beach with 4wd, but be aware turtles lay eggs here. We saw one as we walked to the beach! Dirt, non washboard road, easy to get to with 2wd as it’s in town. Just a few odd topes. We asked locals about overnighting here, and the police drove be late evening, and they all said no problems. The police drive by several times a night on patrol.

It is between homes, so be courteous and clean. A few cows came in from the beach early evening.

Restaurant short walk North along beach has 2 for 1 drinks from 4-6...but food prices are a bit pricey so we didn’t eat.
