200m of road track to an area of scree overlooking the ardeche valley, such an amazing place to watch the sunset, you will need levelling chocks and it isn’t suitable for big vehicles I guess much higher than 2.5m would catch the trees

Beautiful rest area. Felt very safe. Regular highway noise. Bathrooms open all night.

Was quiet and police came by in the evening to check on us. They were very friendly and told us that they patrol the area during the night.
Park far in the back (next to the bushes by the river was fine) as the tide comes in very far. The whole grassy area and even the higher hills on the beach were flooded in the morning

Good place to wash your car. They do the outside and also the inside. Nice folks. Van for 30bob.

they could not refill our fixed gasbottle. their tanks have too much pression. We have to look for a small gas truck on the road.

This place seems closed or moved. Tried to find it with no luck. Their FB hasn’t been updated since 2019/20.

I know the people that rent this space and parking lot. Make sure to park where the class C in the pictures is. There was a B Van parked closer to the building there today. Almost in the way of a delivery semi. Again, park as far from the building (west) as possible. Only one at a time. If someone is already there keep on moving.

Parking spot with easy walking access to the well and the spout. Great in a storm!.
We was here at high tide and in a storm, but it looks like it would be great at low tide to see the Marine life in the pools.

Amerindian site of Calapa with art rupestre on rock. Little museum with explication on french but really interesting. Worth a stop after CSG. Few days open on week but she let us enter even if it was closed.

Great place and worth to overnight here even though very cold and high up. Before 6 am you have the place for yourself so get up early. No facilities, no reception

Great views, enough flat space for one or two smaller trailers or vans. Good ATT signal, cold at night.

nothing like i expected from the photos on the nps. pretty dissapointing. croton 2 very rutted /washed out and on an extreme angle . only book this site if you want to pitch a tent. croton 1 is reasonably flat - better for a small rv or trailer. zero privacy for 2 parties sharing the site. upon arrival i had to wait for hikers to return to their cars to be able to park as people had carelessly parked IN the campsites.

Great spot, the paring spits are regular size but room for smaller RVs to hang the back over the grass (we are 26ft). As we pulled up and put out our slide out police came and left again, so all good! quiet, garbage truck 6:20, took 2 mins.

This trail to Las Gachas leads through private properties. At each one you have to pay between 1000-2000 COP (4000pp in total). But be aware at the 2nd property we got attacked by several aggressive dogs and the owners didn't care at all they just want your money. So we highly recommend the other trail from Guadalupe, which is public and free.

Nice hike in early November. Some snow on the trail and it’s well marked. Took the husband and I two hours up and a bit over an hour down, sliding down the snow at the top. Returned to the awesome free camp where we were staying, which is an excellent spot.

Drove by and does not look open, likely the time of year but wanted to post an update as the other sites along the lake were open.

Found this western union sign in the market street. Didn’t tried it because we already went to the other one in town.

Camera repair place - they repaired my faulty camera to fix the botched job done in Mexico City. Wanted 7 days but agreed to do it in 24 hours when I explained I wasn't planning to stick around. Good communication, fair prices, and even agreed to waive the 7% card fee as a favour. Recommend!

Good for the off-season. No signs posted, locals all seemed friendly. Several houses in view, but I had the parking lot to myself all night, Simple pit toilets, Very nice view over the lake. Im told it gets busy here in summer, used as a base for people to access their island cottages.

Parking spaces are about 20ft with a slight slope. There’s boat trailer parking that would fit your RV, though that might upset people

I didn’t stay the night because of the last check in but this is a beautiful rest area and even has wifi. Ton of bathroom stalls and information about Georgia. Also water fountains to fill up your water bottles.

I highly recommend this restaurant, the owner Ceci is very welcoming, and even gave us a pack of Costa Rican coffee. The food is amazing, we had fried fish, churrasco and maduros con queso.

Got "the knock". No, not that one. They just asked me to park by Sonic. Super friendly Ladies. Night was decent once it quieted down.

Really cool all vegan Taqueria! Tacos are only $18!!! :-) Came here twice and tried everything: 100% recommendation.
