Spacious area, even a large grassy area that would work for tents. No view of river but can hear it. You can get down to it by following the trail down a bit of a steep slope, otherwise no water available. Can hear the highway but not too noisy

Nice spot. Road is getting a little rough but with careful driving a 2WD Sprinter 170 made it fine.

Parking area at lighthouse. Great views. No one else here. Fairly level by the exhibit building, not bad right next to the lighthouse. Can be windy!

Nice hike from Tilcara (4km), be careful with the altitude of you’re unaccustomed. The ascent can be hard work. AR$150 admission fee to see the waterfall. Waterfall itself is not that impressive but the hike is nice and scenic. Good activity for the day. Nice views of the valley from the viewpoint. Take a lot of water, it’s dry, arid and thirsty work.

Dispersed camping along a creek in a meadow in Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest. Large site with easy backing for RVs, Vans, etc. You have to enter the site from 46 not 46A as that access road is no longer in service. There is a pit toilet at the site but I did not open it to investigate the current condition. The mosquitoes do not play around. Be prepared or be eaten alive. Site is around 9,500 ft and gets cold at night, even in July.

This was my original destination but it is terribly overgrown. No cell service with Tmobile/Sprint. I didn't stay and ended up finding a great spot further down the road.

Although it’s in the middle of town, this was a great, cheap place for us to stop - and we actually stayed 2 nights. Clean sites w table and fire rings, clean bathrooms! Water and dump station. Hosts were so nice. Wooded sites w lots of shade. Very quiet at night- really a nice town to visit:). Nice park right next door too!

perfect little spot in the main parking lot in front of the closed river museum- very quiet - a few people came in the morning to launch their boats - nice pontoon where you can go for a swim too! perfect after a hot day of driving !! mosquitoes came out around 9pm. but so worth it to be able to bathe and swim!!

The good: this is a free camping spot with nice views, pit toilet, not far from Boise area, and I had the place entirely to myself. The road in was paved until the last three miles which were gravel and just fine. It has lots of nice trails and there was one just a short half mile to a rock outcrop that had a panoramic view. There is a boat ramp and dock on the snake river close by too so I went for a float and swim the next day.

The bad: there's a feed lot just half a mile away so flies were everywhere. Even with bug screen a half dozen got inside. They're is also some kind of locust plague going on in this area and there were a lot of big black bugs. They don't bite nor are they dangerous but they did look scary when I went into the bathroom LoL. It's also really hot there, not a stick of shade to be found anywhere, but I was ok temperature wise until about noon when I left cause it was getting hot and went to the river.

All in all a good spot if you know what you're getting into.

This place was awesome! The owner Marco is super nice and accommodating. There is a restaurant onsite, there are 2 pre-erected tent camping spots above the parking lot if you don't want to camp in the parking lot. There have been camp fires up there. The restaurant has good food, the bathrooms and showers are clean. There are outdoor as well as indoor showers. There is a pila in the tent camping area to wash dishes and clothes. They have electricity at some sites and at the covered tent camping area. They currently are housing workers for a nearby project, they get up early so if you're a light sleeper and not used to waking up early (5:45 am) you might be displeased. The showers are cold water showers, but refreshing. It's located right across the street from the beach and the police station. They have their own water treatment plant that they use for their gardens. The wifi is super fast. I registered 102Mbps download speed. The trick is to connect to their 5G network. They are pet friendly, but... there are skunks that roam the property at night. If your animal likes to chase other animals, you may want to keep them inside. Our dog likes to sleep outside when it's hot and she doesn't chase things, so she was fine. We felt safe and had no problems. The cost is 4,000 colones per person per day. Highly recommended!

There were several campsite options available when I got there. Many already had firepits built in. A few were available before the road turned sandy. I didn't drive down further but I saw more sites available but you would have to drive through sand to get to them.

The sites I stayed at were about 200 feet from Lake Superior. Was able to watch the sunset with only one other couple on the entire beach.

Trash cans and easy access to the river. It is right off the highway, so when cars go by you hear them, but we were tired so we decided to stop here for the night. Once the vehicles stopped going by it was perfect, and the sound of the river was very nice to fall asleep to. Plus my dog loves the water, so she was happy. It is too strong now for her to swim in but she got to walk around in it and drink. When there was no wind, the bugs were bad...but that is everywhere out here. No issues, would stay again. Restaurant still not open. There is an open WiFi spot close to the exit of the museum. We stayed there to do some research, fast WiFi! Didn’t go into the museum (because of the price, still $10 pp).
