Description

We stopped by at this place which is just a few meters away from the Cafe con leche. It is a big flat area which has two bathrooms and an outdoor shower. They do not have Wifi, but the guy said that electricity plug in would be possible. They have a possibility to make a fire and do a BBQ and also have a little camping stove. It is all looks a bit improvised. 6$ per person for the first night and 5$ per person if you stay more than one night.
Also, there is a small restaurant right next to the campsite with great food and great prices (130-200 cordoba per dish)

Really nice spot yards from the beach. Lots of tents available and enough room for a few camper van. $6 pp.

Good spot very close to the beach. $6USDpn. Lovely family that run it who were keen to help however possible.
Stayed 3 nights and could’ve stayed more. Plenty of beaches and some nice food around or cook in the kitchen.
Simple but they said that they’re slowly ticking off jobs to keep improving it. A few dogs around but all friendly.

Bel endroit pour profiter de la plage et du surf quelques jours. Wifi avec le bar d a cote resto avec cuisine sympa et pas chere. Bonne ambiance et sanitaires de bonne qualité. 200 cordoba par nuit. A conseiller !!

Really nice place for camping - we stayed 2 nights in our van. Clean bathroom, fresh water shower, kitchen area guests can use, and outdoor shaded hammock and couch area too. Omar and Sarah the owners are super welcoming and know the area well including restaurants and surfing. Take Calle Popoyo to get there (not Av. Principal de Popoyo - you'll have to cross a sand beach if you go that way). Definitely recommend this place!

Beautiful spot full of shade for tents! clean bathroom, fresh water outside shower beneath a tree! full of hammocks everywhere to chill! 2 min walk from beginners bay for surf! and omar rents boards! 5$ a night and 5$half day surf rental! Little cute ruby puppy and full of cats! Highly recommend this amazing spot!!

Great place we absolutely loved it. There is one very good llevel spot with a tree that gives shade after about 3pm. There are hammocks under palapas to chill during the day and you can rent surfboards for a reasonable price. We wanted to stay 1 night and stayed 5 instead. The guys working here are super nice and also have some curious cats to play with.

Awesome spot! Super close to multiple fun surf breaks. Lots of shade and nice gardens for relaxing. Clean toilet and nice outdoor shower with great pressure. Electricity hook up is possible if you have a long cord. Go up to Magnific rock for happy hour 3-6pm- mojitos, micheladas, mimosas etc for $2, the view is out of this world and their WiFi is fast. Stayed here for a week and wish we could have stayed longer! Fruit truck comes by every day and there is a small tienda up at salina that sells beers, rum and other essentials (30min walk). Our dog was very welcome here too! Even though he chased the cats a few times 😬 price still $5pp

It’s a simple place but lovely made with fire pit, small outdoor kitchen with gas stove and utensils, toilet with paper, cold outdoor shower and everything was clean.
Space for tents and small camper vans.
Surfboard rental and lessons.
No WiFi but the Cafe cerveza next door has, password:
[passwords are not allowed unless explicitly permited by the owner]

They change it from time to time so maybe you try than cafecerveza2 or 3 and so on....
We really liked this place, it’s peaceful and quiet, except the sound of the waves, good to relax and the beach is nice.
Paid 300,- C$ per night for 2 in a Van.

Stayed 1 night paid 150 cordobas. Just a simple campsite, enough space for a few cars only. Outside kitchen and shower are not in the best condition. Bathroom ok. I preferred to move and camp on the beach for free in the palapas in the other side of the river mouth. 30 sec walk from this spot and save 5$ per night per person. Much more quiet

We stayed here for 9 days. It is a basic campground with a clean toilet and outdoor shower. They have a kitchen you can use, stack up on food as restaurants are expensive. 5usd per person. Amazing atmosphere in the camp. They have lovely dogs and cats. Walking distance to the beginners bay at popoyo, popoyo main break and rancho Santana.

We tried to camp here with our two dogs - no go. We got the stink eye as we drove in from the owner. Pigs, horses, cats and a big blood hound. Which our dogs would have been OK with. The Owner did not want us to stay. Perhaps not a a dog friendly place...

An ok Surf type campground. Fairly level parking area. We got our 11-1/2' tall truck in, but some branches scrape.

Outdoor kitchen, flush toilets in outhouse style bathroom. Saltwater shower, shade, friendly staff/owners. Close walk to beach and cafe. Very hot

The other reviews are spot on. This is just to update the GPS coordinates.

Cross the arroyo (main track is hard packed now, fine in 2WD), right at little junction and immediately on left.
