Plenty of free parking on a tree lined avenue next to the river Severn. Small vans only. Very quiet, the lane mainly frequented by runners, cyclists and dog walkers. Fairly close to town and there's a cafe and toilets nearby, next to the Weir.

The road has been cleared - but is still in a terrible condition. Used by local cars (21 July 2022).

Nice Campsite run by very friendly local women. Located at the lakeside. 120pppn. They also have rooms and a restaurant on site. Definitely a great place to stay in windhoek and to support the local community!

good place , protected a little from the wind

Typical Walmart parking lot. A bit noisy until about 10:30p, sounded like the same car kept driving thru the lot multiple times.

Quiet location near the water. The road was rough coming in, but doable. There were two others here but plenty of space and choices for where to stay. Great sunset views. A few ATVs rode by in the evening, but otherwise no one was around.

I spent the night here and it was good overall. You could here trains off in the distance but other than that, a perfect place to overnight at. Bathrooms close at 7pm

Local muito calmo, tranquilo, com o som das águas do córrego e aos pés do viaduto. Único ponto desfavorável são os banheiros um pouco precários.

Nice spot with grass, trees, picnic tables and 2 restaurants.

This is a open place next to a lake. Its in the forrest but nearby houses. Its a field for more overlanders

Good location to walk to the points of interest of the city center.
The cost for one night is 10 TL.
Try to park on the corner close to the museum, because there is a lot of traffic on the main road until late night

This is not a Cracker Barrel? Only found a restaurant. No no signs but didn’t feel right so didn’t stay.

Beautiful camping spot especially for motorcycles/tents, caravans and big rigs. As motorbiker you get extra discount. Not so many toilets, could some queue there. Campsite is right next to the lake Vättern. When we were there the water was 21degrees and the beautiful beach was almost empty.

Solid spot. Almost nobody here but it’s mid summer, very hot. Lots of porta potties. Great views.

Nice quiet spot at mountain bike/cross country ski trail head. 4 km off of Hwy 5 on Candle Creek Rd. Road dead ends at the trail head. Part of the Wells Gray Provincial Park. The visitor center in Clearwater said camping was available here for $15 Canadian but there’s no signage indicating that. The Wells Gray brochure has a page with map of trails that indicates donations for Wells Gray Outdoors Club are accepted so I think I’ll do that. Biking/ski trails for all abilities. The area seems well maintained. There’s a pit toilet. And one bar of cell service. I used my Starlink for internet and it rocked!

Nice parking. Sportfields nice and level. Good for motorhome ore caravan. Not ideal for tents.

Finca Magdalena is a cooperative of 24 farmers who take pride in their little slice of paradise. We didn’t have any problems with ants or flies, just mosquitoes in the evening. Nice, clean swim hole down the road included in the price. The gardens are planted to invite the butterflies. The variety and number of butterflies far exceeded the island’s commercial butterfly garden. So beautiful! It was easy to arrange a guide to hike the volcano. Even though one is not necessary, hearing about the flora and fauna made it well worth the very affordable $25. The staff is professional, helpful and low key. Decent Wi-Fi.

Free parking close to gift shop. Place were the movie Dirty Dancing was done.

Automatic Self Service laundry. Brand new. cost 15 reais to wash and 15 reais to dry a 5 kg basket.

in late July mosquitos were fine, super quiet place, awesome views. bring firewood as needed. clean place overall.

Great spot for day use!
We went stand-up paddling in the cove and use the facilities (dumping station, showers and restrooms) for 6.50$CA !

Amazing spot for a nigth or two !
We mannaged to parked and camp there true a stormi nigth.
a lot of nice people to meet if you like dogs !

Amazing quiet place ( few cars passion by during the nigth)
we parked our pick-up truck next to the water. The water was verry cold but the view in the morning was breathtaking !

big flat area next to the terpel, some trucks parked around during the night. good for a night. noisy as any gas station. toilets out of service. free, safe and big enough for any rig
