Dirt road leading to a parking area. A little noise from the road but quiet at night. Great view of the ocean.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Beautiful view of the ocean. Awesome spot to spend a quiet night. Lots of room. Just drive slowly to manoeuvre potholes.
Report Check-InGreat spot with Ocean View.
There was about 8 rigs there ranging from SUVs to 30ft’ers.
Weave your way (around the pot holes) to a splendid nights sleep.
Report Check-InRough road as described by others, went slow in our 170 wb van & found a mostly level spot at the end of the gravel path. The weather was raining with winds & high surf about 20mph until midnight & the morning was calm & peaceful. Didn’t hear any road noise.
In the evening locals came twice & dumped some things from the back of a pick up, a few walkers in the morning & a peaceful night.
Go slow over the culvert dip & through the large potholes & you can find a variety of spots to overnight.
Report Check-InGo slow on the road as there are big pot holes. One other trailer here. Nice sunset and quiet. Behind some trees from the main road. Good cell signal.
Report Check-InThis is a gravel road/parking area on a small knoll overlooking the beach right outside of Port au Choix. There are no signs. Although the road is a bit bumpy getting in, we did ok in our 25 foot/8 meter motorhome. The end of the road is level with a beautiful view. A few cars stopped by in the evening, locals going for walks on the rocky beach. There are no services. There was a good ATT cell signal while roaming on Bell and good Verizon signal while roaming on Telus. The visitor center includes information about 5 eras of settlement in the area and hiking trails. The Foodtown grocery was well stocked, including produce.
Report Check-InJust perfect. Rough road but if you go slow, no problem. We are 2 campers very well apart from each other. Quiet, great ocean view, beautiful sunset. Probably enough room for 2-3 more small vans/campers
Report Check-InBeautiful spot. Rough road in. Internet 2/7 Mbps up/down. Stopped for a phone call as last night's spot in Shallow Bay at Gros Morne had zip. Nada.
Report Check-InQuiet location near the water. The road was rough coming in, but doable. There were two others here but plenty of space and choices for where to stay. Great sunset views. A few ATVs rode by in the evening, but otherwise no one was around.
Report Check-InUnmarked gravel road just outside Port au Choix. Potholes so drive slowly. Right on the water’s edge
Report Check-InPotholes still there but nothing serious for a sedan. Windy and beautiful. Locals come to chat in a very friendly way.
Report Check-InNice place, you can stay on the end of the gravel road or in the grassy area. and see other comments, though the potholes are not that bad...Nice stay!
Report Check-InAs others have said, potted gravel road to access. Large area, easy to get level with spectacular view and ocean sound.
Report Check-InThe road in has big pot holes at the beginning. Nice ocean view, quiet, and windy.
Report Check-Invery beautiful spot with an amazing ocean view, but it's a minefield coming i
n here. Glad I'm driving an Outback.
This spot is as described by others who have come before. Came in on the potholed gravel road with a 23’ travel trailer. Very tight to turn around at the end of the road. But once you do, you’ll have a spectacular view of the sunset over the ocean. Occasional ATVs and dirt bikes pass by during the day. Don’t miss walking down to the ancient rocks on the shore.
Report Check-Ingreat location with solid rock and gravel road. there are some dips in the road but not too bad. There were 3 RVs parked and plenty of room for all of us. This shoreline is smooth flat Rock with plenty of wood for a little fire in the evening.
Report Check-InNice a quiet. Minor highway noise but the ocean and wind drown it out. A little bumpy getting back here. Close to the beach.
Report Check-InGreat spot right at the ocean's edge. Beautiful view, very quiet. One car pulled in but quietly turned and left. Road in is rough, trailer hitch on Sprinter drug once, parking area is smooth. Good cell signal
Report Check-InOceanfront view, quiet spot far enough from the road. Room for my 30 foot motorhome. Little bit windy but it didn’t bother us. Lots of potholes on the way in, it’s a rough road so take it slow.
Report Check-InKnown locally as sandy cove head. Great spot, locals will visit frequently but usually quiet after dark.
Report Check-InIncroyables vues sur la mer, tranquille mais un peu venteux. Route de gravelle un peu cahoteuse à l’entrée mais ça vaut le détour... nous étions seul à cet endroit.
Report Check-Inawesome spot, very close to the Sea, just a few bug here, lovely compared to some woodland spots.
Report Check-InGreat spot for the night! Many locals comes to the spot with their 4x4 but everything becomes quiet around 9PM.
Report Check-Inlovely ocean view and private. some traffic in the evening and early morning. watch out for the wind and pot holes
Report Check-InGreat spot overlooking the ocean. Fairly private as it's a bit off the road. There were some very sizeable pot holes at the beginning of the road off the highway but they can be passed with some slow and careful driving. We did them successfully with our 36ft class A.
Report Check-InGreat spot right at the water and away from the road. Only downside: it is very exposed and can't be recommended on very windy nights. Watch for the potholes in the way in.
Report Check-InNice place. Quiet when we were there. Overlooking water. Windy.
Report Check-InNot sure what this is but it is a dirt road leading to a parking area. A little noise from the road but quiet at night. Great view of the ocean. Private.
