Been there twice now. It's a nice quiet, out of the way spot to spend the night. the view is beautiful! For some reason they removed the trash can between our first and second stays. Access is a bit tight for anything over 27 feet long or so...

Lovely place. No 4wd needed. No phone reception.

As described. Level, numerous spots, lots of shoreline access/views. Quiet, only a couple of others here tonight. Very good cell. Police came by to have us sign in - pleasant, friendly. Excellent and free!

What a great spot to hang out for a few days despite the fact that the showers and toilets are not “new”anymore and don’t seem to get cleaned very often either. The toilets do not have a seat and while we were there there was generally only 1 of the 6 that was unlocked for use.
The showers are cold but that was ok given the hot temperatures while we visited.
The cost was 80 pesos / person which we thought was very reasonable. The hotel next door has a great palapa style restaurant where you can pay 15 pesos per hour for very weak wifi. You won’t be able to download any Netflix but you can certainly send an email or two if you need to.
There’s plenty of purified water available to purchase at the restaurant and also at a few of the tiendas in town. There’s not much in the way of fresh fruit and veg in town ( at least not when we visited) so be sure to stock up before you arrive. A young girl came by selling papayas and the paletta car comes through once a day as well!
Oir Campervan didn’t fit under the Ramada but the owner was ok with us parking sideways instead which allowed our sliding door to open facing the ocean. Bonus! Surfboards and boogie boards are available to rent here as well. Hammocks for perfectly under the Ramada too!

Drive slow. Can be dusty. As stated, wash off the highway is daunting. Well worth the effort to find a spot. amazing views.

Jackal Mobile Tented Camp is a luxury mobile tented camp operated and organized by Jackal Expeditions, a safari operator with a head office in Kasane. Jackal Mobile Tented Camp is the newest and most exciting addition for adventurers, romantics and those who like being close to nature will love this new experience.

The camp is located in a private setting in the Khwai Community Area on the isolation concession, on the river bank where hippos and elephants come to drink and bathe. The camp offers daily game drives explore the Khwai Concession, Moremi Game Reserve and sometimes Savuti in the Chobe National Park, with sightings of lion, leopard, hyena, elephants and more.
Custom built to meet every guest needs and expectations, it offers guests the opportunity to spend a romantic and / or adventurous night in the wilderness of the reserve. Built on two types - private rooms which are for those who are looking to spend time alone in their own space and the hotels where each tents/ room has three beds, the features a full bathroom complete with hot bucket shower, portable flush toilet and basin whilst the outdoor veranda features a mini lounge area with chairs and table. The camp staff is on call via a two-way radio so make the most of this time and relax in the safety and complete comfort of this unique space.

Camper Van: OK, decent campground with free showers, some sites have veranda. Picnic tables, lantern posts, fire rings. It was $20 to "tent" camp w/ no hookups. Sites overlooking the lake are picturesque. Others further in not so great. Spots are kind of close to each other and we had unfortunately a very nosy lady watching us for hours til I told her to mind her own business. Good fishing with granite bottomed lake. Not mud. Rangers sell firewood and will even bring it to your site. Would not recommend in summer, too hot. Decent enough cell service. Site pictured is the one we stayed in.

Beautiful place, very natural with a large palapa to camp under or hang hammocks. Could probably also car camp/ park a rig in the parking lot. Very peaceful, had the place all to our selves before 2pm. Paid 200 pesos for 2 people for one including access to the lovely cenote.

This place is just getting starting and you can already tell it’s going to be something great! We spend one night and felt totally welcome by the friendly German owners who can be reached by WhatsApp. While many plans are in the works, plenty of space for parking, a flat elevated area for camping, lots of trees and an awesome cenote! Definitely the most natural cenote we’ve been to , inside a large cavern with some beams of light coming in around 10am. And a super cool and safe (but slightly swaying) bridge down. We loved it! Note that in google maps it told us we arrived before we actually did, we continued down the road until we saw the private property sign.

Quite a few accomodations available. Also some water fetures to visit. A couple of Caffe restaurant also available in this small village.

Nice smaller Walmart, internet and phone are good. It wasn’t the most quiet place but I’ve stayed In nosier campgrounds. Has a Wendy’s and autozone in the same lot

Buzzer worked. There was a sign on the door that said “No propane” so I buzzed to ask where else in the area I could get my tank filled. Employee that answered said they got filled yesterday. He filled our 5lb tank (1.4 gallons) for $5.31.

Nice spot in the dunes with well spaced out rv parking places. bloody windy all day so no whale watching. you can dump and get water at the entrance but there's no electricity hook up

Lovely place with lovely owners! We ended up staying 5 nights, enjoying the site with its pool next to their finca, nice views and good talks. Marcel and Maybritte are excellent hosts, who make sure you feel at home. Visiting Malaga is easy: park your van safe and for free at Plaza Mayor, and take train to town center (15 min.). Would love to come back again.

Needed a place to stay near Grand Junction and saw this, noticed that on the satellite map it looked like it was wide open and could park anywhere. When we got here there were campers and trailers everywhere. We found a spot and blended right in with all the off roaders. Safe spot for the night. Good Verizon service. Came back for night 2 because it was easy and for sure a spot to park. Can get very dusty if windy.

Great big mostly empty parking lot. Well shaded with lots of great stores.

Paramos em frente ao Hotel Ecoporam. Rua movimentada, com passagem de turistas sentido a praça da Pituba. Tua bem iluminada e o hotel possui segurança 24h na entrada. Ponto de energia em um contêiner que fica ao lado, é possível deixar o carro conectado o dia todo.

10/10 great and safe place to sleep with really clean bathrooms inside. It does say sleeping is prohibited but don’t worry your fine. There was 3 other vans sleeping here too. But the dozens of trucks in the back sleeping. Little road noise but not to bad.

I got a first come site (#40) on a Saturday. No one ever took #41. You can self issue after hours. SHOWERS at visitor center. Found them by accident. Good hike to Table Mountain from camp site. Verizon has 2 bars. Quiet campground. I felt alone at #40. Great views too. Windy in afternoon but calm morning and night. $10 includes day pass fee.

Dormimos uma noite neste local, estacionamento público na beira da praia em meio a prédios residências com câmeras de monitoramento. Não tem nenhuma estrutura. Nos sentimos seguros e a noite foi tranquila.

We stayed here one night and all was quiet for street parking until about 4am. There was a big dispute with yelling, crying, and people bumping into our van while we kept our lights off and stayed out of it. The police came and this cleared the air for a little bit, but the arguments continued once the police left for another hour or so. In the morning there was another loud brief argument before we hit the road. This experience probably isn’t a regular occurrence - I hope! The street parking itself is level and away from traffic. A short downhill walk to the beautiful main plaza.

Picketts changed hands about 4 years ago. We usually try to stop here.. There is a Sinclair Station with a really nice store and fast food.(Churches Chicken). We paid $32. for a back in site. Clean washrooms, hot showers.

Nice place to stay, it is breech to the road so cars will pass all night and occasionally the train, other then that I'm glad that I stopped here
