Absolutely wonderful! I don’t know what I can add to all the other great reviews. Just go here when in the area! The GPS coordinates were right on😉

Beautiful spot, would be better with better weather. Hopefully be back sometime, place has a lot to offer, canoeing, swimming, paddle boarding, fishing.

This is the Titus County Gresh Water Supply District, which the county also allows public camping on, for up to seven days. There is a main gate that you drive through and it is closed from 11pm to 4am, which I liked because it felt secure. We spent a very quiet night next to the water. A marine police officer came by in the morning to take down our information and give us a copy of the rules. Very low-key. There are dumpsters, picnic tables, a pavilion, and bathrooms. Very pretty views.

Returned to this beautiful spot on the way to Big Bend. Was here two years ago.

The first person to have put this spot on here to share, you are a wonderful human. This is an incredible spot. Absolutely beautiful for sunrises and sunsets, and a wonderful camping spot. Only a couple other people here, but it’s a very large area anyway. There’s parking lots too. There’s a bathroom and a couple cash vending machines for snacks. This is one of my favorite spots I’ve been to! Thank you to the people on this app!!!

Fantastic overnight option when traveling I-30. Just about 5 minutes from town (which looked nice and has anything you need). The police come by with a registration card. It’s such a pretty area you’ll probably be tempted to stay longer if you only planned to stay one night.

very nice place to stay. Some areas can be a bit muddy after a rain but the views are worth it. Felt very safe. A few minutes after we found our spot a police man came by and took down our info and gave us a camping permit. I saw a sign that they close the gates 11pm to 4am.

Great spot! Only a few others here currently, all very spread out. Quiet & peaceful. Friendly officers, the patrols made me feel safe. Weather didn't cooperate for me, but would be a great place to put in a kayak or paddleboard.

Personally I prefer unofficial dispersed camping, secret isolated places in the woods as opposed to this very organized and popular spot, but still, it’s really really nice. My only real complaint is that a times there’s quite a bit of mosquitoes and gnats

Exactly as described. great views of the lake for free!!

Report Check-In

This place is legit. No one is here right now. There a few people over at the boat dock playing music quietly. Other than that it’s quite peaceful.

Report Check-In

As described. Level, numerous spots, lots of shoreline access/views. Quiet, only a couple of others here tonight. Very good cell. Police came by to have us sign in - pleasant, friendly. Excellent and free!

Report Check-In

As described. Great! Only 2 other RV’s, very quiet, beautiful sunset, very peaceful and serene.

Practically empty during off season. Maintained roads, clean bathrooms. There’s no designated spots, you can essentially pull up to anywhere you can fit. The police checks you in, you show ID, and sign for a permit. Felt safe, quiet, gorgeous views. T-Mobile spotty service only 1 bar.

Great place on the lake for tent and RVs. We talked to a lady who was tent camping. She said they didn't really want her to sleep in her car and that she had to set up a tent. A police officer stopped by to register us. He said you can stay up to 10 days in a 30 day period. I've attached a picture of the check in form with all the rules. It's very quiet and beautiful. Only issue is that there seems to be a lot of yellow jackets.

Beautiful camping spot on Bob Sandlin Lake. Checked in with police. Overnight camping permitted up to 10 days. Our schedule permitted only one, or we'd have stayed longer.

Report Check-In

closed for covid. not sure when it will open again.

Report Check-In

As described. Police officer who checked us in was friendly, you have to sign a form agreeing to follow the rules and they take down your info. Thank you Titus County for this camping opportunity. Very clean when we stayed.
