The way up here, is spectacular epic, but here and there very steep... we estimate 25-32% and maybe even more. It's beton and also very narrow sometimes, with quite a few needle curves.
You'll need to drive through some small villages until you reach the dead end, where probably 4-6 cars will fit.
No way for bigger rigs to go until here, even though a 4x4 isn't really needed.
We barely made it up here with our Sprinter 4x4 (1st.gear) and it took us approximately half an hour.
If we had been forced to stop, we wouldn't have made it!

Locals are very friendly, staying for the night hasn't been a problem.
To get to the Wadi, there are 2 ways, one easy one, hundreds of stairs down (15-20 mins), the other way is through the jungle (30 mins), but here you'll need a guide, as you can get easily lost here.

The Wadi itself has been worth the way. Two beautiful pools, surrounded by lots of rocks and a small waterfall. Swimming here is no problem.

A bit pricey (8$ pp) but a very nice spot at the lake. Some days there is a bus load of backpackers that come from Grenada to make use of this place for the day. After 4 it's only guests but there is space enough anyway. Two places to park; at the parking or near the cabins inside the gate. we stayed in the last spot and could plug in.

Very quiet spot in the mountain, difficult to find but very nice. You can park behind the trees, very subtle. Large enough for regular car or grand caravan.

Great spot on the lake! No facilities, but plenty of trees. Just don't leave a mess! Very quiet with just the sounds of water birds nearby. If you drive along the road a bit along the lake on the right hand side there is a flat grassy opening right on the lake shore.
Strong 4/4.5g signal on Claro and Movistar, although they occasionally swapped to bad 3g for some reason. It was very stormy the night we stayed...

Single night overnight parking still allowed here. Parking is free, unlike the rest of Leavenworth lots. We have overnighted here in the past, but only used the lot for daytime parking of our rig while visiting downtown. Lot is mostly level, but not absolutely spot on level. There is a cute biscuit and coffee cafe next to the lot, but not associated with the lot. It is a bit of a walk into downtown, 5 or possibly 10 minutes.

Great place, very friendly owner. One of the only open campgrounds in town 🙌 WiFi is everage, but there's good Entel connection.

Stealth camping spot, only notable because of it's access to 24 hour bathrooms. I was in a position where I needed late night bathroom access, and all other public bathrooms I found in the city were locked, except for the ones in the park next to this spot.

Emphasis on the 'stealth' part of this spot though, as I was the only street-parked car, and all the houses nearby were super upscale, with balconies looking right over my truck. However, I wasn't bothered during the night.

Stayed here for one night in a fully contained truck camper. Stayed in the first pull off on the right hand side. Fire ring on site but it was slightly downhill and flooded. No signs present to restrict camping in this spot but some further down the way. Nice spot with access to waterfall hike/walk after the sign. See photo.

R2C2 is a climbing gym. You can use their showers for $4. Maybe get a day pass and climb while you're at it.

Nice little camping, showers do not work very well. It is packed with dogs that won't stop at night. It was 150 pesos by person.

Couldn’t find an adequate place to camp, we are towing a travel trailer and are not particular picky with our sites. This place was a miss for us. Maybeeee would have stayed if we had a van! A big sand dune in between beach and the road in. “Parking lot” is not on the water, you’d have to walk over to the public beach. We did not stay as we felt we’d likely be asked to leave.

When we arrived there the owner wanted 50s for a room. We negotiated it to 30s. The room is small, doesn't have any window, seems old, we choose to sleep in our sleeping bags instead of the bedding provided. There is fast wifi though. Still the only option in Luya.

Street camping near 24 hour mart and skate park / community center. No personal residences. No parking restrictions. Major road so some traffic but by midnight could hear the ocean. Other cars parked overnight so easy to stealth.
