Spent 2 nights here. We paid $10/pppn. Hot water all the time. Nice showers with good pressure. Ablutions ok. Area is not flat so a bit hard to find a good spot for a RTT. The owner gave us a permission to use the hide and pool. Usually campers can’t use the lodge facilities and the gate is locked. Other staff very friendly. Staff will light you a fire and braai every evening, wood is included. There were many elephants at the hide (came close, but they were relaxed). Owner seemed like a nice guy.

The ranger at Natural Bridges National Monument recommended us this location because the park campground was full . Quiet night . No service . There is plenty of space for van and/or bigger rigs . Fire ring. We recommend this spot.

Super nice place to stay! Little bit expensive but when everything in the area is full this is the place to be!

Nice big and hot showers, laundry service, pools and very friendly staff!

Went here planning to camp just beyond the summit but snow blocked the track so walked up and camped here where the snow was partially melted, can easily park by the petrol stations beneath. Only bad thing is it’s very exposed and was very windy

Great spot for a night. unfortunately a lot of trash in the area. But I am saddened that I have had to say that about almost every site I've stayed in the past 2 weeks. I am going today to get trashbags & hotdogs roasting stick to pick trash up with. safe & quiet place to park. woke up to a few more vehicles here doing the same. it's rained & snowed for over a week straight...please PNW...give me a break.

A few hundret meters in front of this location (towards out of town) is a CRBD branch with an ATM. No fees!

still here, still $2 (plus $1 for the tunnel tour) The last 4 years haven't been kind to this place and there's lots of graffiti, rubbish, and potholes, but the view is still nice and the experience is now more like UrbEx

A very nice place indeed.
I was planning on stopping 2 nights but this place was so relaxing and the river and all the animals were amazing just sitting there with my binoculars that I stayed 4 nights.
There is a new manager and as the dorm was not ready so I was put in a chalet for a very reasonable price including a full cooked breakfast.
I also at dinner here and it’s a 3 course menu which was different every night and not to pricey and the cook is very good.
The staff are lovely and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay as on my trip through Africa this place has been the nicest and best value by far.
There is also a bar and swimming pool and they do packaged tours although the website is not up and running yet but it will be soon I was informed.
Saw plenty of animals in the park tour and even leopards.
Best experience in Africa so far.

We came for a wine tasting and ended up staying a night. We didn't even had to ask, they invited us right away. Best camp spot you can find in this area. Bottles of wine aren't expensive here, so you might want to just buy two bottles instead of doing the tasting. We recommend the Chenin Blanc and the Nebbiolo.

Henry is a polite, honest, capable mechanic used by all the locals.
Helped replace three diesel filters on my MAN big rig.
Easy job, 10 soles for the hour.
Henry does everything from tractors, trucks, cars.

Really great coffee! Not to much of it on the Austral here. Good sandwiches too! Come by coffee lovers

Easy dump station. Filled our propane tank too very expensive but we appreciated the free dump station. Friendly staff

Great wood fire pizza, the owner has lived in Mexico 30 years! Sat and took the time to talk to us. Our son got the waffles and they were delicious! The specialize in bread and baked goods. The place was clean and huge! Would come back and try more of the menu options. Definitely had a lot of “American” options which was a nice break. It was a little pricey but the food was very good.

Long story short we took our sprinter here and they instantly said they don't touch diesels and then after some haggling agreed to work on our van but it would take a long time possibly several days to get basic parts and that we'd have to sign a liability release (aka they just didn't want to work on our van and we're trying to get us to go somewhere else). We left. Don't reccomened.

At this place next to the big road you will find a nice very old abandoned church. when you come from Cochachamba 200 m. Before this point take a trail at your right you will cross a small creek and after find this church.

This is the best wild camping spot we’ve encountered in a long time, big open dirt parking lot, always quiet at night, right on the beach. Next to a hostel where you can ask you use there bathroom: and it’s free

Small parking, a few people in the day time come to walk in the forest. At night nobody.

Lovely forest around to walk and have Picknick. Also there is a swimming pool near by.

Just for small vehicles, not much space.

Parking at an approved "Village Relais" shopping center for overnight stays.
It's not the most beautiful and welcoming, but at least it's an authorized place to spend the night.

Best crossing in Central America in our opinion! People were so kind and helpful on both sides. We crossed the border in 1.5h. We arrived at 8.30 on a Monday in Holy Week. Quite a lot of people travelling for Semana Santa it seemed. Immigration work was super fast on both sides. We suspended our TIP from El Salvador as we weren’t sure of Guatemala would let us enter with a car. The officer told us it would not be a problem if we didn’t return, just that if we DID return, we would have to go to this crossing again.

In Guatemala it took a while for our TIP but it all went smoothly. We were scared they wouldn’t give us a TIP as we hadn’t yet made the 90 days out of the country. We put the TIP on another name (the original title is on two names) and no questions we’re asked and all was done! 160Q for the TIP. There’s a printshop that makes copies for 0.50 dollars. Guatemala asked for one copy of everything (title, passport, drivers license and entree stamp).
