Along Toland and Jerrold avenue lots of people park their RVs. they stay overnight, and sometimes a couple days. Just be aware of street cleaning zones which are posted with white and red signs.

don't be a nuisance, and try to spread out so that a lot of vehicles are not gathered all together.

the neighborhood has Jack in the box, mcdonald's, burger king, several Mexican and Chinese restaurants, and also car repair and gas stations nearby. there is also a porta potty outside the Burger King.

McDonald's has free internet if you get close enough.

it's quiet at night and noisy during the daytime since it is an industrial area.

2 sites each with a fire pit! Nice view on the valley! I was making my way to the Burnell lake but the road is not the best with a van. I decided to stop on this site by pulling of the road.

Very tasty vegan meals, most of them with an Asian twist.
Totally worth it. Hard to find such a quality vegan meal for such a price.

The street is closed off so the bars can have a terrace on the street in front. Especially lively during weekends.

Very quiet and scenic rest stop for a night. Super clean pit toilets, picnic tables, and grounds in general. Not only will you have a quiet sleep you also get an outstanding view of the mountains in Glacier NP. If you pull in for sunset it is spectacular over the Park mountains. You can fall asleep to the sound of coyote howls at night. 2 bars 4G on Verizon as well.

Really gorgeous vistas across Pilot Rock mountain meadows. I’ve not seen elk, only cows grazing but it’s pretty dry now. Did see kestrel and blue birds and hearing howl of some kind of canine. Similarly, no one else here. The road has small rocks, not gravel and it’s a bit steep initially but my 2wd/front drive promaster made it fine. At a mile, look for a flat spot and block the NW wind.

A quiet stop on the way to or from the border to Malawi.
on the N11 toward border, turn left and drive around 2-3 km to avoid parking in the cultivated crops.
at the end of the track, it will be forest.

accessible with high range vehicle, no big rig.
not sure how it would be during rainy season or if was not burnt.

Nothing special, but not visible from the N11 and no village around.

When we were there, it was all burnt and people would start to chop down the trees soon, then cultivate mandioca.

very friendly border. 10 minutes to exit Kenya, passport stamped, vehicle documents checked at customs. To enter Tanzania you first stop at the tent for temperature check and verification of the printed online form from ministry. No check of the PCR test and trusted traveller form. Free rapid test done in 5 minutes. 3 months Visa at immigration for 50 US$(German shepherds passports) done in 30
minutes while we received the TIP (3 months 90 US$ for our truck to cross TZ).

very nice place to stay near Kuruman. Many campsites each with own braai, washing up area, electricity and water. Most spots have no grass or shade. Nice place to stay over on your way to Capetown. We paid R300 for 2 people. They also have a few campsites with private ablutions.

There are a lot of small streets here. No problem with 2wd. You can camp everywhere here. It is quiet and nobody around. Great 4G signal.

Please note that in GoogleMaps the hotel has another incorrect location on the way to Pakwach. You can park at the parking lot. There is a big grass that you can set up a tent. They gave us a room for toilet and shower. Quite a lot of noise from the traffic in the road.

Arrived on a Thursday night around 930pm. No one around. Car came in and turned around at 11pm then never saw anyone until morning. Quite a few hikers arrived in their cars around 7am. No issues at all. Bonus: Short hiking trails on site.

Fairly busy sports fields and parks. This is in the direct descent flight path of the airport. The jets are loud and disruptive. Not sure how many will be during the evening.

Still €14,40 2 pp including camper. €1,- for electricity if you want. A new ablution block is currently being build. From the campsite the view is lovely but no view of the small lake.

High voltage electricity cable run directly across the campsite and some pitches. Those make some noise.

Sites are spread out so you have plenty of space.
Dirt road access, a bit washboard'ish.

this is a small trailhead parking lot for the North country trail. Just a few hundred feet farther down the road there is a formal campsite with picnic tables but it is not very flat for parking. this area is suitable only for smaller vehicles not large RVs. moderate cel coverage. I think it is State Forest land.

Free dump with gas fill up. Otherwise it's $7. Propane fill of your RV tank at $2.99/gal. Friendly staff. Hunter heavy area. Everyone in camo, staring at outsiders and not happy about it. Get in, get out.
