This place is great. Huge space. Many machines. All take credit cards. Wheeled carts to move your laundry around. Super easy parking even for my Promaster 22 foot EXT van.

Stayed here three nights. Got the “Dirt Bag” deal for $25 that lets you park a van overnight in their lot. Price includes free bottle of beer (which I traded for a kombucha), load of laundry, WiFi, and a hot shower. There are two food trucks and a bev truck on the property. They have live music and a shaded area with tables and hammocks. Have met some really cool people here including the owner, Franky, who brought his vision to life through Bunk & Brew and he continually evolves it. I love boondocking. There is something so empowering about living off grid and that will continue to be what I do for the majority of this trip. Having said that, this place allowed me a hip environment to hangout where I was able to shower, do laundry, get a delicious bite to eat, fill my van’s water container all while meeting some amazing people who have incredible stories. And lets face it, most of us spend $25 on gas getting to BLM land and it doesn’t get you a shower, load of laundry, bottle of beer and live music. Bunk & Brew is a two minute walk from downtown Bend. Highly recommend it!

Two wild camp sites just off difficult 4x4 trail. Road is for high clearance 4x4s-only from US-550. A bit easier if coming from Animas Forks. Great ambiance with view of mountains and sounds of the creek.

Watch out it’s a pedestrian street during summer, so inaccessible to cars. It might still be ok from October to April.

Cute, well maintained municipal campground right on the Thompson River. Some full service for $35 a night, power only $20. That includes free showers (a blessing after a few days on the road) super clean washrooms, free WiFi and new coin operated laundry machines. You also get to explore this adorable little town by foot, and a fantastic restaurant a block away if you don't want to cook that night. Not very private, but for a nice night in a cool town...totally worth it.

We didn’t do the tour or eat at the restaurant but we stayed at this spot anyway. Bother businesses seemed to be closed while we were there Sept 1.
It was a quiet spot with a nice view of Twillingate from the other side of the water.
There’s amazing hiking just a few miles up the road at Spillers Cove. A definite 10/10!
We also visited the dinner theatre while we were in town. It’s highly recommended for local entertainment. Dinner and the show for under $40!
I asked Pat, at the front desk of the theatre, if we could just camp overnight in the parking lot and she said no problem. There’s a wee view of the water but we were in it for the entertainment value and that way we could have a drink or two with dinner!

campside with 3 wooden hoods for free. On the other side of the street is the house of the owner. Place yourself and later he will visit you.
He has a donation-box at his house...you give donation for campside.
Beautiful nature around, very calm, very friendly owner. You can take shower at his house if you need.

This is to confirm the venue is still open and operational.
The campsite is slightly overgrown through lack of use but everything else is good.

Large paved loop with many picnic tables and two toilets. Close to the highway so louder than other spots, try to park near the back for a better sleep. Flat spots for tenting but the trees were perfectly spaced for a hammock so that’s what we did! Two other cars also stayed the night and didn’t bother us. Note there is a gate at the entrance, not sure if this spot closes seasonally…

Pretty cool road with some spots to camp about 3 miles in on a dirt road. What any of these reviews have failed to mention is that there is a correctional facility right at the entrance to the dirt road. It kind of freaked me out but we stayed anyway but figured I should put that in there. We rolled in about 11 PM and saw that sign and definitely felt a little bit freaked out ha ha. Super quiet no traffic

Beautiful spot spotted many deer. Disadvantage is low flying planes which produce a lot of noise but it did not bother me too much
