Lots of parking space and very few cars or people on the weekday in early May that we were there. Porta-potties, bbq pits and plenty of picnic tables in a pleasant wooded area with sun and shade. No entry fee in the off-season (Labor Day to Memorial Day). Playgrounds and good dog walking. No garbage cans; you must cart out your own trash (though not everyone seems to follow that rule).

Old building in ruins but still interesting and you can even walk up to the roof.

the place is on a hill with a magnificent view of the meander of the river. I recommend a 4x4, but in dry weather there is no problem with a normal car. the place is nice and well covered by the signal. be careful because if you don't have a 4x4 and it rains at night, it could be a problem

OPEN - see photos - this place is *not* within the city limits of Canmore and therefore bylaws and ordnances cannot apply here. Maps attached for information - you’ll see the point that the railway becomes parallel with the road on the east side is where the spot is, but city limits end some distance west.

Share opinion of previous reporter! We used it as a stop over coming from Kgaligadi NP to Central Kalahari NP. The campingarea is about 3km from the mainstreet, track to the site is in poor condition! Ghanzi was fine for a tyre replacement we needed.

Wonderful place!!! Clean Pool, tables and chairs under a roof. Clean toilets and a great garden- all alone for us. Stayed 2 Nights with our Truck under big shady trees, paid 100K for us 2.5 for 2 Nights. Recommended

Spent a night at the top right next to the highway with no issues. Good cell service.

Coming from La Paz, get out of the car and show Toll ticket from Urujara, policed stamped it and asked what were we carring, its a camper we said and moved on.

Get out of your car, go to the police office with your Toll ticket, and get it stamped. No fees.

Wouldn't top us without the Sunat pin. Asked sin factura and still wouldn't do it.

Great little area to park and stay. We were here several nights in a row. Just be sure not to park directly across from a house and you should be fine.

The park is relatively quiet and great for getting exercise. The bathrooms here are pretty clean, but a bit odd as they don’t have stall doors at all. They don’t lock them at any point, so if you need to go in the middle of the night, you should be okay.
Overall, this was a quiet and easy place to have a nightly home base while we were in Denver.

2 people and a van (VW LT28) for 109€ with Balearea. You officially can’t buy tickets in the harbor and must buy online or in an office beforehand.

Quiet and convenient. We payed 15€ for 18 hours.

We made it here, from El Angel, with our Toyota Winnebago 89 with 2wd. We drove very slowly and we managed just fine.
The road is rough and some clearance is advised. The weather was dry so it might have helped.
We arrived at 5:30pm and walked up to the ranger lodge to ask if we could sleep inside. He told us that staying there overnight is not allowed anymore (due to an earthquake that happened not far from here and its replicas). But he very kindly opened the gate and made an exception for us. He was really nice and polite, we had a good chat that evening and the day after.
The area is gorgeous, the walk is a 2,5km loop and the views are amazing.

wonderful place at the end of a stone path with a view of a large pond. 2 possibilities: path on the left leads to tables and an area of ​​grass. the other path is a loop where it is also possible to settle down but no more stones.

Nice spot, very little traffic over here. No cell service, but a big open and flat spot to camp.

a paid parking but they refused to tell us how much it costs - for us as tourists fo free. we asked if we can stay for the night and sleep there and they said no problem but they close gates at 10 pm. we were meeting a friend in the other part of the city however so we didnt make it in time to the parking lot but I thought I would still add this place so people can use it.there is also water available there but no toilets. we just parked near the destroyed ninavah international hotel where we met with the friend because it is a very guarded area where many people come to walk near the road and hang out.
