didn't spend the night but will mention that 2 vans stayed here 5 days in a row. looks like it's not closed.

Report Check-In

we were a couple to sleep here every night. close to canmore.

Report Check-In

We arrived early (Like 19h) and there was 4 others cars, and lots more arrived after that, some of them were on the side of the road and not in the parking lot. There is not toilets, and if you want to be discrete you have to climb a steep hill. But nice area of dirt to sleep.

Report Check-In

Very nice place! I suggest you arrive early if you want a good place.
We slept there for one night with other cars/van, no one bothered us.

Report Check-In

Spent the night with 3 or 4 cars. Quiet spot for overnight. Totally legal, I recommend.

Report Check-In

Lil lot off of the highway. Felt safe the whole time.

Report Check-In

Busy lot even during the winter. Much better service than the on 3km down the highway. Not suitable for a trailer or big rig.

Report Check-In

stayed here for 3 nights, quite busy as we have always been at least 3 vehicles per night. not easy to find a level spot, bit noisy towards morning as it is next to the street. good solution when you want to avaid the overpriced campground in Banff though.

Report Check-In

very disappointing that such a place is entered here as an overnight stay, since any x arbitrary place where you can stand can be entered here in the iOverlander. a pity

there are many day use areas along the way. are open from 7 am. to 11 pm

Report Check-In

We worked in Canmore for a month and slept every night here! It is only a gravel parking lot near the road but it gets pretty quiet at night. There are many other vanlifers and RV’s and you definitely have to arrive before 8 on the weekends and the high season. Very nice place. PLEASE! If you use the forest as your toilet, don’t leave your toilet paper in the forest! It gets nasty!

Report Check-In

we slept there with two other cars, can fit 2 RV. We didn't see any " no camping " sign..

Report Check-In

I believe this is the right spot that everyone's talking about... it's a very small gravel area just off the road on the Eastern end. It'll only fit a few cars, but there are many people who camp here. There are no signs you can't. I've camped here before without issues.

Report Check-In

Many no camping signs between turn off and trail head. No “no overnight parking” though. Didn’t stay as we have a tent and didn’t think it was worth the risk

Report Check-In

not very nice, just a gravel lot by the road, I didn't stay. it's close to Canmore though.

Report Check-In

Flat spot just off the road, just outside of Canmore. Further from the railroad than the spot east of here, closer to the highway, so expect some noise but the road is quiet at night. We spent two nights here without a problem. There is another larger parking area two km east of here.
