Very nice spot. We parked a little bit closer to the dunes with nice view over the ocean.
Around the corner is a big water tank with new built showers (good water pressure).

[ONLY WITH RESERVATION] A charming family farm that accepts people to camp or in a motorhome. We spent two weeks here with lots of delicious fruits that fall from the trees around the campsite. The property has a direct exit to a practically deserted beach. They charge $5 per person, but rates may vary based on vehicle type and resource usage. Water also has limitation depending on the season. They only accept reservations (Johana - Whats +593 99 164 3958)

Solo aceptan reservas (Johana - Whats +593 99 164 3958)

Recommend. Professional, efficient, kind. Reasonable price. Sourced part for us, made sure it fitted correctly (non original part only was available). Will update here if we have a problem with the car, but so far so good. One of the better mechanic experiences we have had!

Puddles along the road are passable. Bottom of them is gravel. Just keep moving. The end of the road is at the confluence of two rivers. Some great fly fishing. Beautiful views. Our 21 foot long sprinter scraped a little bit in the back end (likely the spare tire cage) because the gravel creek (it was just an inch deep) at the bridge was a bit steep. Crossed the short bridge on the way back without issue. It’s old but well built. (Make your own decisions of course).

Beside the road, probably room to park a van. Big area to camp. Hot showers and toilets, can pay just to use them. Have a fridge with beers etc to buy. Chilled friendly place. We were the only ones here. Owners very friendly, let us use the kitchen and gave us lemon grass and honey tea, fantastic. On Perigrino route. In March 3 million do the walk. We paid 100 pesos each, free use of showers etc. Half a mile from small town with restaurants and shopsHighly recommended

car park at the start of the walk to Laguna Esmeralda. the round trip is estimated at 5 hours, we did it in 3h30 with children. you can enjoy the beach at the edge of the lagoon, very touristy. on the way we see a beaver dam. the lagoon has a beautiful light green color.

it is one of the best campings I have seen , beautiful grounds , very big and all green, very clean also toilettes and showers very clean, always hot water. it has a very nice lake front with a restaurant and bar, we stayed here 2 nights but we were charged for 1 day, because we checked in at 4.30 pm and reception closes at 5pm, so first night stay was free and for second night we paid 46 BRL pp plus 12 BRL for electricity. It is more a caravan site than a camping, but really beautiful place

A narrow entry from the road. It has an open area. You are not totally hidden, but in the dark cars probably will not notice you. Enough space for a tent as well.

Enjoy!

Wonderful spot. Everyone kind and caring. The caretaker made a campfire for us while we ate dinner under the palapa and he joined us for s’mores after. We hiked the sendero loop. About 3K and 1.5 hours total including a trip up the steps of Tikalito. The hike was quiet, had clean air and lots of birds. 35Q for each adult and 15Q for each child.

I am confused as to why there are two different listings for the same YPF station. We came and looked it over, but as we don’t need any of the services we chose to look beyond. Around back is a dirt road leading to a small lake just a stones throw away. Flat, quiet parking. Perfect space for tents. A dog walker arrived in the morning. Otherwise quiet on a Monday night.
No services here, so take your damn toilet paper with you when you go.

So this is kind of funny and to be honest a bit typical of my experiences in Mexico. I recently crossed here and the man who inspected my vehicle kept asking question that didn't quite make sense like did I have proof I'd paid the taxes on my truck. I realized he thought I was importing the vehicle so I explained "no, tourista, I need to get a visa and TIP" he asked where I intended to do this, I said here! I had four different agents insist this was not possible but after I refused to go back they said I could leave the truck with them and try that building over there. Yep, sure enough, the big building 50 feet away on the left, that they work next to all day everyday is the place alright. When you go to that building the tourist visa office is the downstairs door on the left and the TIP office is upstairs, second to last office on the left.

a really great place to stay, we stayed for 3 nights, even though there is no electricity, water or sewer on the site, the place is beautiful, very clean, they care about recycling, there is a nice coffee shop that is also a good place for meetings, there is a great Wi-Fi our site was pretty close to the office so we don’t know what about the sites on the beach (if the Wi-Fi getting there). Recommend. We would come again😊
