Great site, were able to grab a spot midweek late in the evening. Gate was closed but not locked, be aware of that. And Google maps may navigate you to a closed entrance. Check photos for correct way in.

Little gravel parking lot, little noisy because of the trafic, but okey for a night!

Clean and comfy hotel. We paid CLP 15'000 pp. We were the only guests due to low season and it was extremely quiet. We didn't have a reservation and we simply the super lady when we arrived in front of the hostel. In winter it can get cold and we were given an electric heater.

Nice spot along the river. Was pleasantly surprised, but as others have said it is very busy. Everyone was respectful to the nature and quiet. People fishing. (Good trout spot).
Porta potties are ok-ish but can use some cleaning. But I was surprised they were there at all. Cell reception is great in some spots and poor in others.

Well stocked supermarket (probably the best we saw so far in Tanzania). Next door is also a bottle shop and a pharmacy.

If you have high clearance, then keep going for about another ~4km beyond this marker and you get to several much larger, flatter pull outs with absolutely spectacular views of Mt Rainier. The track gets pretty rough, but it’s worth it.

Only place in the world where salmon travel underground to complete their migration. 2.5km gravel road in with deep potholes but is maintained and 2wd ok. Large parking area, could fit big rigs. Picnic tables and camp spots. Pit toilet and 1.5km walk to river with salmon

Small parking area and boat launch with picnic table and pit toilets. Would not fit anything bigger than a van. Near highway so occasionally noise from passing traffic.

Ventanillas much better than Otuzco. No tourists, currently no signboard. You have to climb up a few meters on a small track. Can see everything without any restrictions.

Cheap option for this busy town right on the border. Hotel is clean and safe, has 24h check in, breakfast included. Accommodations are simple, rooms with or without air conditioner. Wifi is good but sometimes get very slow. BR293 pass right on the side,a bit loud at night cause the traffic.

R$ 124 for a couple in a room without air conditioner. We choose that cause we were riding in winter and the expensive option was actually worse than the cheap one.

Breakfast is great!

We have a Lincoln Navigator and the air suspension went out. Marco and his guys took 2 1/2days trouble shooting from fuses, relay, compressor, air leaks, height sensors and air stunts. Very thorough and detailed. Even though his shop was very busy he took the time to diagnose the issues. We ordered arts on line with Amazon. They will deliver to Marco in 1 1/2 weeks. We are replacing the compressor, struts and height sensors. Playing it safe by replacing all 3 items now. Marco says it will take about 1 to 2 days to install. We are very thankful an IOverlander posted their experience with Marco.

Spent two nights at this amazing spot and didn't see another person the whole time. (I did leave for a bit during the day to do the High Rock hike.) Super peaceful. The road in has quite a few potholes, but I did it in my Altima fine just by going slow, so pretty much any vehicle should be able to do it. Also has a fire pit already established (though someone had thrown quite a bit of toilet paper in it). No T-Mobile service. Would definitely stay again if I found myself in the area.

We signed in at the guest services counter and then parked on the north side of the mall and we were directed to move to the south side at 10:30 pm. A bit of a hassle but ok.

Nice spot. Local came by trying to tell me that camping is illegal there. after he left the sheriff came by and told me that it should be fine. no signs suggesting camping isn't allowed so I ignored the local.

Turn off the main road towards the Pacific between Carrizal Bajo and the Llanos de Challe NP.
Many dirt tracks, solid sandy ground.
Good cell reception.

Comme mentionné dans la description, seul dans le grand stationnement, quelques voitures sont passées avant 22:00 et tranquille pour la nuit. La ville est en assez en matinée sans aucune mention sur notre présence. Chemin de gravité très poussiéreux.

Slept three nights here, during day time we parked at the plaza.
It can get very windy here, and there's not really much possibility for you if you don't have a toilet in your rig.
Safe spot though, but not idyllic, and dusty and windy.

So thrilled we found this place for our first night in Panama, after crossing at Sixaola. It was so incredibly beautiful, with a view of the Caribbean and islands. The weather was the best part. Bugs weren’t bad other than at twilight. Very peaceful and felt safe. Several vehicles passed and honked hello. Three workers walked down the hill (going home from work) and we exchanged pleasantries. There isn’t a lot of space to spread out with high grass and some mud, but we were able to park to have gravel where our door opens, and that worked well. I’ll remember this place as being very special.

Stayed there for one night. Campground is clean and organized, but we cannot recommend it. The fee for an unserviced site is CAN $ 39 plus taxes, which is relatively expensive. But on top of it, they charged us a CAN $ 7.50 booking fee even though we did not pre-book. Together it is an extremely expensive unserviced campsite for one night. We did contact their head office afterwards to complain and they refunded the booking fee. Watch out for this hidden fee that they try to add. The Wifi is very bad and only works if you are very close (most likely standing) just outside their office building - good Wifi should be a given at the high prices they charge. There is no sani-station (but they tell customers to use the one in town). The pool was already closed, but we still had to pay the full rate. We will not stay there again on future trips.
