definitely loud. and the sirens that someone mentioned went off 3x last night. luckily I was able to go back to sleep. loud, but safe and there aren't many options in this area.

It is a wonderful place close to everything attractive in Petrolina.
The Haus Petrolina staff are amazing and the food and draft beer is great. I personally recommend taste de American Lager draft beer.

Great spot for a night, in a parking lot behind some businesses. Far enough away from road to where noise is mostly inaudible.

No signs prohibiting overnight parking. Probably best to just stay a night or two at most. Can park in the corner and you are right near some trees with lots of birds. Mostly hidden from view here. Parking lot is flat. Great cell reception.

This a donation based / free campground smack in the middle of Armour SD. There are roughly four pull through sites, and four back in, it claims ten total but we haven't explored enough to confirm this. Also, two cabins available. Covered tables next to each spot with a large group of covered tables towards the playground.

50 amp power located at each spot along with water available in the park, not immediately next to each spot though. Don't believe there's a dump.

There is a bathroom and shower house.

Absolutely beautiful, quiet, and sprawling.

Free Motorhome stop in the small town of Aalter. Water fill-up available here for €1. Cafe across the street is open from 08:30 to 20:00 with great coffee and cakes, as well as a very nice loo. Great 4G signal, good enough for video conferencing.

Typical rest area and good place for a quick crash with a bathroom.

Entering the site: 1000 kw per vehicle + 500 kw per person. Very bumpy and unconfortable tarmac road until here.

Fabolous place. Camping at parking place 10000 kwanza. 20 euro (2 people & camping car). Decent shower and toilet available. Also electricity. As there were nobody hosted at the hotel they let us swim at the pool. Great!

Great stay here, we were the only ones around for 2 nights. Go into the falls park early and you’ll have it to yourselves for a few hours, tour buses show up around 10am, but it still wasn’t too crowded (Wednesday). Lots of picnic tables with bbq grills just inside the entrance beside the river.
Also wanted to add that the lower parking lot has two spots for smaller vehicles if you go down, right beside the river. They have little picnic areas. Only advise going there if the weather is dry, the road down turned to sticky deep mud when it rained, even a 4x4 might struggle to get back up. Otherwise you can park at the top there and walk your stuff down to the river 20m for a pleasant evening!
It rained quite a bit while we were here and the water shifted from blue to browny, but still the falls were amazing! Enjoy!

Stayed one night on a Thursday night. It was shockingly quiet too. Great place to rest for the night.

Free dump station with non potable water. Easy pull through. There is potable water at the pavilion, however, the faucet is not threaded (we used a water bandit on our hose to fill our rv).

Attendant looked at our tag and quoted the international price to us. We didn't have that much cash so asked him if he could help us with a lower price if we gave him a tip. He then said he could fill it up for 6 bol. Got 27 liters straight to the tank at that price.

Small truck stop with 2 showers. Water was hot, bathroom was clean and large. Towels included for $10.

Ok campground. Pit toilets and no more services. Still 20$

No longer possible for free, this access is now commercialized as well. A few meters before this spot is the ticket office. Cheapest option is 20 USD per person and includes a ride on the 4x4 tractor on the way back (for 30 USD you will have both ways, not only the rwturn trip). I guess they can ask this price because from this access point you have to walk less. We left, too expensive for us. The other iOverlander spots nearer to the river will not be possible if you didn't buy the 20 USD ticket. So we suggest to take the other entrance for the 8 USD per person (marked in iOverlander as well).

Deu na telha do careca, ficamos algumas noites por aqui em dias alternados, o pessoal da apoio, após o horário de fechamento da loja não pode sair do motorhome, local seguro e lá atrás no coberto tem tomadas 110 e 220 volts eu não usei água, mas aceito que tenha alguma torneira disponível.

Great spot just next to the river. Flat ground with grass.

Friendly lady, and good cheese. 2 types: fresh or matured. The matured one is more tasty but they didn’t have anymore 🥲 We took 250g of fresh cheese, and they gave us the last bit of matured cheese as a gift 🎁

Price barely more expensive than a bad cheese found on the Sucre market..

RV dump station , well signed, non- potable water. Free.

Spent two nights here. no restricted parking signs but no dedicated RV spots.
