the rangers came out and told me that I couldn't use thier hose. they said to use the maverick gas station instead that had a water spigot.

We spent here two night. Nice and quiet place. Beautiful view of Angola, just after the river. We negotiated for camping for 80 NAD per person. They also allowed us to cook our own food. Local staff really friendly. They offered us their nsima and gave us a ride to town.
If you need to come here and you don’t have a car, take a taxi, many people told us is not safe to walk from town to here.

Entrance gate closes at 9 pm, but you can exit at any time.

Coin operated hot showers. $3 for 4 minutes. It gets busy after 5pm. Place has coin changing machine but it’s advisable to bring quarters in case machine is out of coins. Restrooms and shower stalls are very clean

Overnight parking is only allowed on the west parking lot. The one on the other side of the highway. There is no overnight (sign says so) on the lot right next and close to the ferry. Zero cell service. Lots of mosquitoes!

There’s a sign, directly at the road, it says clearly no vehicles behind this sign. It’s a wildlife refuge!

Schöner und erstaunlich großer Campingplatz direkt am Okanagan Lake. Platz 124 mit Zugang zum See (ca. 50m) und Bootsverleih (leider erst ab Mitte Juni). Keine Anbindung an den öffentlichen Nahverkehr! Nach Kelowna am besten mit dem eigenen Fahrzeug fahren. Mit Blick auf den Knox Mountain mit tollen Wanderwegen. Alternativ gibt es gegenüber des Campingplatzes einen Wanderweg zum Bear Creek.
Alle Plätze mit Picknicktisch und Feuerstelle. Feuerholz gibt es für 10 CND am Eingang. Im Mai gut besucht, aber nicht überfüllt. Dusche und WC im Waschhaus nutzt man meistens allein.
Plätze sind aufgrund des steinigen Untergrunds nur bedingt für Zelte geeignet.

back lot has plenty of room for my 23ft trailer and truck. pretty private behind the building and well lit. Would probably be difficult getting a big rig back here.

Called customer service at Walmart to confirm that RV overnighters were allowed. Absolutely no problem. I think they like it when people ask.

Used the Dump Station on May 25th. No line at 11am. Free to use but filled up fuel first. Parked very close to the hole and had to stretch our hose. It's located behind the gas station.

The showers are part of the aquatic facility. The cost for a single admission was $9 for an adult and included the use of the entire aquatic centre. The centre was built in 2012, very nice facility. A few shower stalls in the ladies change room were semi-private and had sides. The water had pretty good pressure and was hot/just right. There were outlets for a blow dryer if necessary. Very easy to find and close to so many amenities in the area.

Just a place for one night off the main tarmac road close to a lake filled with flamingos. We had a quiet night. Nobody even passed by as far as we could tell. Average mobile network cover (video calls possible with little lags).

Is a good Hotel for relaxing and recovering clean and friendly owner speak a little English we pay 50Gel per night for a double room

We went to Persepolis and slept here again. We paid the 200,000 rials again (no problem, it's less than € 1). Last night (Tuesday) there were more people. Some places having dinner with bonfires and a little loud music (not a problem for us). Before midnight the music stopped and the night was very quiet and this morning everything was very quiet as well. It is a very large park. We've found a fountain to fill water next to the park for exercise.

Looks like a local gas shop, but on showing the owner our South African gas bottles, he was able to refill them… and we are very happy customers!

Official site for camping cars next to a church, has water, electricity and public toilets - everything free. Just a few minutes to the lake, cute restaurant nearby and beautiful area for hiking. Stay is limited to 72h.

The place is not accessible anymore, there’s a fence. But there’s an official site for camping sites next to the church in the village, it’s for free.

We share our "Special Campsite" with self-drive visitors especially because there are no "public" campsites at the Mara river on the Serengeti side at all. You are also welcome to come camp with us at Ndutu during the calving season!
