Beautiful view. Lots of people during sunset but only 1 or 2 cars came through after.
Far enough away from highway that I didn’t hear much noise. The ocean sounds beautiful. One other van staying here.

Alex is an excellent host, and we felt most welcome to camp out in his front yard. The location is perfect… close to grocery stores and other things for stocking up, and for exploring Addis. Please visit and share overlanding stories with him… he is an avid enthusiast!

There are some benches with tables though, which could be used.

Beautiful and peaceful place on a crowded and expensive Luanda. Nice view of the city skyline specially at dust. Friendly staff and very clean toilet and shower. A perfect place to relax a couple of days in our African Journey and arrange visas and CPD issues. And "Clube Navale" is for free! Next, there is a nice swimming pool (Clube Nautico da Ilha de Luanda) at reasonable price

2 restaurants around and quiet spot. just a train paint by once in a while. had a great night at the bar

I stayed here 2 nights highly recommended super safe the people here a kind and welcoming. 40Rs PP totally worth it.

Nice spot with mostly rocky beach. Wifi available only at main building but we had a 4G signal. We paid 31 for 2 adults with a motorhome including power. Clean bathroom block. Nice lady in the shop that's open 9 to 9.

A restaurant and pension in mataral. They have simple rooms with shared banjo's and a traditional kitchen. Rooms are at the back around a small courtyard so no road noise. The women who runs it is friendly, a fine stay overall!

Spent one night here after exploring the adventure park up the road.

Alright place. As others have said the RV park is run down and not maintained but the main building is beautiful. We found one Sani-dump station at one site.

Took a bit of searching to find a working electrical box but we did find some. Looks like they took out all of the water hookups at the sites.

We paid 200mxp per person per night.

Cabins looked nice, bathrooms are nice and have clean showers.

Wifi was spotty and didn’t work well.. but there was full Telcel 4G service

Great big area to park, guards at night. Of course we ate here, i dont think they would have let us stay here otherwise. People were very friendly.

GAVE ON TELHA DO CARECA, we stayed here for four days, quiet and bright place facing the beach, I spoke to Dona Maria, who provided us with energy and water, and of course we enjoyed her kitchen and cold beer, the 4g internet is good, very nice, I left some aerial photos there to help.

Large area still available. We parked on the back so were completely hidden from the road. Cats were happy. The little traffic from the highway stops around 7pm so we had a good night sleep.

Nice & quiet place, just a few people around, all friendly. At the beginning of the island, there is a new sign that says you need permission to enter, but I don't think they would turn back tourists.

Parking in front of the beach for Van. Nice big beach to walk with your dog. You can hear a little traffic from route 1 but very quiet at night. Frequented by locals in the evening and in the morning. no "No overnight" sign and no one came to tell me to leave. Trash.

Very large pull off on the side of Rt. 89A near Vermillion Cliffs Trailhead. Mostly flat with spotty cell service (2-3 bars at&t depending on where you park) No facilities at this site. Stayed the night here. No signs prohibiting camping. There was 1 other suv here when I pulled in. Minor road noise after dark. Large enough for all size rigs. There are also numerous other large pull offs along this stretch of road. Plenty of space to walk pets. I would not suggest setting up tents here. It's better suited to rvs, campers, and those sleeping in their cars.

Arrived at sunset, asked the guy at the office (who was in bed already) if I can sleep at the parking lot for the night. He said sure and was very nice, said lots of people do it.
The road is bad but doable for a 4x4, just go slow and don’t be shy to use low gear. Won’t recommend driving it if the weather is not optimal. Last kilometer or so is still paved road.

There is a small primitive (dry) camping Green with 3 sites for $15.90/ night vs $32/ night for water/electric sites, showers included but not super close. Some cell service.

Previous comments were very accurate. Went on a Wednesday and it was pretty full but we were able to find a spot easy with out going back to far. Very quiet other than people coming and going. Perfect distance from flagstaff. We like it when we can see the people around us so this was great for us. Had 1 bar of 5G on TMobile. Road was pretty rough! Big bumps so just go slow but my Outback did it just fine.

As described. No trouble in my prius taking it slow, and plenty of level space. Watch for glass! Beautiful views, birdsongs, sunset, stars, and sunrise. Utterly peaceful and relatively private—traffic is infrequent on Baylor Canyon Rd.

Lots of spots. Great views of lake and mountains. Took a nice hike in wildlife area nearby. Agree about the numerous ants.

C-A-L Ranch store with propane fill station. No call button; go inside and ask cashier for assistance.

Very large wide empty dirt lot down a very bumpy dirt road. Turned out to be extremely busy with off-roaders and large groups of teenagers gathering. The traffic did end by around midnight by the large group had returned by 6 AM with music playing so take your chance. It was really beautiful and secluded and quiet in between vehicles so we did enjoy your stay.

Food is good. Prices are carzy cheap. Cash only. They’re open 5am to 11am

Estacionamento público no final da beira mar, canto do forte. SOMENTE PARA CARROS PEQUENOS E DE PASSEIO!! Fiquei aqui por 4 dias e 4 noites em mês de maio ( fora da temporada) e não tive problemas. Bastante policiamento e câmeras por todo lado. Têm banheiros químico ao lado mas não tem torneiras água... pedi nos prédios em frente e me deram sem problemas...Lugar de alto padrão e pessoas do bem vivem por aqui. Recomendo!
