tracie.mommythrice | NO camping allowed - signs everywhere explaining that. In fact, we couldn’t find dry camping anywhere in Albuquerque. Not at Walmart. Not at Sam’s. Not at Cracker Barrel. And the truck stops were completely full. |

inevitabledame70 | Tent sites are $21 a night, most of them are pretty level. showers were weird, the stream was a narrow jet that had a shocking amount of pressure behind it, on the plus side it got surprisingly hot. lots of trails in the area to explore and lots of people riding bikes around the campsite. |
La Pine State Park | 43.77002, -121.51833
Philip Rothhardt | I can confirm the super good view. good altitude for acclimatization before tackling the pass the next day. far enough away from the road so that it feels private, though you hear it. Lot of wind (built a little wall to make setting up the tent easier, would be nice if further cyclists could add to this :-)). |
End of a little side road | -32.85510, -70.14019
tracie.mommythrice | We arrived 5/4/24 and asked if we could camp. We were told there is a new company-wide Cracker Barrel policy - NO camping allowed. We watched them install the “no camping” signs before we left. We didn’t find ANY place to camp in Albuquerque. Continue on to Route 66 casino, they allow camping. |

Vrantzey | There are some side roads to the main road, that are only used by some motorcycles and a few people walking in the morning. We came here late and had a peaceful night at the side of the road. People greeted us friendly in the morning. |

finamole2015 | We stayed almost three weeks near Laft Park and it was very crowded during Persian new year. We cured a puppy (Leo) with skin disease and vaccinated (Not Rabies because he was very young and, should be done now by Dr Godarzi in City Qheshm +98 917 451 1531) and left him there. We wanted to take him with us but we didn’t have time to manage the paper for him and place in the Van, to make paper dr Godarzi will do it very easily and cheap. A fisherman from Laft village(+98 917 904 5157 Khoshraftar) and the Laft park Kiosk boy Amir will look after him and we call on other travelers who has the same route as we have to take him with you and bring him to us please. We miss him. We (jimbal_companions: our Insta Page) are in Uzbekistan now and will go to Japan through Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia and Vladivostok to Korea and than Japan. But the end Goal is Thailand, Vietnam, Laos And so on. In one of these countries we can meet. Leo is very nice and used to live and stay in Van. His is good trained and understand your command.thanks iOverlander for not deleting this massage please. |
