We spent the night there. We don't know the owner, but we asked the employees if we could stay there. Authorized. We stayed next to the bathrooms, which were clean. The cafe is very fancy and expensive, not a good place to work. The next morning, before 8 am, they asked us to park somewhere else, because they wanted that space. All very polite but not friendly. For an ok night, I believe that for more than 1 would not like it.

Take into acount that fuel is very limited until El Alto/La Paz. Almost all the places out of gas or diesel.

I can't believe this place hasnt been listed yet! Its only 20 minutes south of Durango, and SO COOL!

It has plenty of different site options for those who want hookups or no hookups. Plus TONS of ammenities right along the Animas river.

It has complimentary paddle boards, a water slide, volley ball, disc golf, and even the option to add other (paid) adventures on like tubing tours and access to the zip line.

The showers and laundry are free with the stay and the showers are totally private and hot.

There is even an on-site dispensary and cafe that are open daily.

Plus, its honestly super affordable. I am a full-timer who doesn't need any hookups or anything and im staying on the cusp of the season for only $10/ night.

Can't recommend this place enough. Don't be afraid to spread the word, this place is huge and even accommodates music festivals and such! (also, be sure to check their event schedule because they block off camping during events)

As described. No private stalls but the water is hot with nice pressure. There are two hair dryers. They make you take off your shoes at the entrance so bring flip flops or slides. Bring a quarter so you can lock the locker. You can’t use your own lock. Free wifi available here too.

Quiet. Great spot near the water. People partying with music on the weekends though.

Fantastic spot.
The trail was very dry so it was easily accessible with my Hyundai Accent. However, it can definitely be difficult in a muddy situation for low cars.
Very calm location, I was the only one on site, but some leftovers from previous campers did leave a trail. Get yourself something fresh to drink to watch the sunset on the white sandy beach!

Spot wasn't super level, but had decent ATT and was pretty quiet. On the weekend there were lots of dirt bikes/ATVs and people shooting. During the week there were some logging trucks passing by. Also you have to drive up a steep switchback road to get here with big drops on edge of road, but road conditions are great and pretty much any vehicle can make it.

Same deal as the Draper Rec Center south of here - $2 showers (between 12pm-2pm only?) or $7 for a full day pass. Big locker rooms with showers, or a couple family restrooms with completely private toilet, sink, shower.

Herman Creek Rd turns into Wyeth Rd on the Historic Route. There’s a lot of good turnouts & some were already occupied.
I pulled into that long service road on the right. Trash & a toilet (non-functional)
Close to Town, the Locals told me I’d be OK here a few days. Enough Phone Signal w Att
