We parked in a 21 ft Pleasure Way overnight. Asked at the Marina they said people park in another lot behind the Aquatic Centre but it was crowded with cars and had steep slopes. We parked on the east side of the Aquatic Centre overnight. No problem. Used the washroom at the pool. Could pay to use the pool and showers.Picnic tables on the lawn, lots of trees.

It was a quiet night.
We came here just to lunch, and ended up staying for the night.
The color of the river is incredible, and waking up here is very special.

The water from the machine was warm but tasted just as good as every other Glacier Water vending machine.
You can use a card, but it charges 10 cents per selection. 40 cents per gallon, 2.00 for 5 gallons.

As previously reported but this large campsite with 178 spots can be very crowded, especially in summer and on weekends. We got the last walk up spot for our tent. Showers are now $5.00 and controlled by a four digit code you get at the store.

We ran out of daylight as well so parked in this small spot beside the narrowest little creek we have ever seen! The wee park across the street is pretty neat.
Lots of kids playing sports in the park right until dark but after that it was very quiet. We rarely park right on the street especially in Mexico but this was very quiet and peaceful.
It’s a sweet town although no food anywhere after 8 pm so come prepared. One of the locals saw our logo on the van so sent us a Facebook message welcoming us to town. How sweet is that? There’s a YouTube video on this town. It’s all in Spanish but at least you can check out the park, the plaza and the lake/ reservoir before you get here. Definitely a good overnight stop if you run out of daylight too. There’s a port a pottie at the soccer field just a few steps away from here.

Wonderful and peaceful place near the water, full of vegetation and birds.
Flat space at the end of a small dirt road.
The nearest neighbor is about 500 mts away, a very gentle and nice man, who was happy to see us enjoy this place.
Walking down a small path, you can reach the edge of the water, with great views of the reservoir and the dam.
Driving over the dam is a must and you need to go through two amazing tunnels.

Very good place to spend the night, very quiet, wifi, bathroom, shower with hot water (it costs 5000gs because before it was free and they broke everything), suitable for pets. Excellent attention from Patricia, the manager of the place. highly recommended

Solid as far as wal marts go. The hilly grass area along the side is full of ticks, so not great for dogs. But the short grass area between Ashley and the road seems fine and is only a minute walk.

Had to level with jack, but not enough that I had to detach from car.

Good place to stay. They have 3 different places. Nr. 3 is enough space up to 3 offroad cars. Flat area. Good and clean abolutions with hot shower. Very friendly owner. In the hotel you can enjoy a cold beer after a hot day. It was a good option for us (motorcycle).

This is our second visit to the park and we really enjoyed it. The unusual red pink color of the sand is beautiful. We walk to the dunes to view the sunset. Several people offered us use of the sand boards to slide down the hills. My boys really enjoyed this. The bathrooms and showers are clean.

This is our fourth time camping at Valley of fire State Park. We arrived on Wednesday Wednesday at around 4 PM and arch campground had only one other camper in a tent. They left around 5 PM and the entire arch campground is vacant. It’s a Wednesday and I cannot imagine this happening on a weekend. The sunsets here are always spectacular.
There are plenty of mountain goats and running around the campground. One particular goat entertained us by ramming its horns on the water faucet turning it on and then drinking out of a puddle below it. It was hilarious. We stayed in #22. It’s the shadiest spot in the entire campground as you have a little Canyon older yourself.

What a joke, non residents need to pay more? For what to pick up the locals trash and eat at their restaurants, and camp on an asphalt turn around with a few picnic tables. I think k the Overland community picks up more trash from local campsites than the paid employees. Thus may be a double post, but didn't spend a dime in a town where the people are so miserable they can't waive or smile. Stayed at Shired Island about 30 min away on a white sand beach.

It is a government "campsite" (it's more like little houses) the accommodation was close so we couldn't ask for the price but in another place we asked and it's around 2$ so it's worthy to ask if you want to stay surrounded by nature and do the hiking around.
we stop to have small pizza for 0,25$ and piña colada 0,50$ there was swimming pool and another restaurant with meals but wasn't working because low season.
I recommended it!

Spend a night next to the Nossa Senhora da Conceição Church in Aiuruoca Downtown where I get some water. If you need, ask for and wait end of the day to fill it out. Quiet city, any place. During the day we went to Deus me Livre waterfall. Parked in front of Pocinho and walked until there. For RV this is the better place to park.

Durante o dia seguimos até a Cachoeira Deus me Livre. Estacionamos em frente ao "Pocinho" e seguimos à pé. Para está cachoeira este é o melhor ponto para estacionar quando está de motorhome.
