Description
Large campground in the woods by the lake. While you might be able to find a spot without prior reservation, it does get full. National Park Camp at $26 per night and site. Sites provide benches/table, campfire ring, and bear box. Water tap/ dishwashing sink and facility blocks w/ toilets & lavabo never far. There are a few stores which can accommodate RVs but you'll want to verify (my guess is 23' max at a squeeze.). Also provided at the entrance of the camp are showers (1.75$ for 3min), coin laundry and a small shop.

Reservations must be made in advance at recreation.gov or by phone. We reserved a site A29 that worked fine for our 27 foot Class C. Showers are now $5 and they give you a code for the door, so you can take as many showers as you want during your stay.
Report Check-InFamily friendly, not as packed as some but not as buffered as others. Tents, rvs, and car/van sleepers. Bathrooms are clean, people are friendly, the hosts are helpful. Trees, it's a pretty place. I always get a kick out of people talking in tents thinking nobody can hear them.
Report Check-InAs previously reported but this large campsite with 178 spots can be very crowded, especially in summer and on weekends. We got the last walk up spot for our tent. Showers are now $5.00 and controlled by a four digit code you get at the store.
