very good campsite as described above stayed here a couple nights the few people that passed were friendly and chatted. this spot better than most, downside lots of hooks and nails in trees, upside very little trash nicely kept. other side of road recent control burn obvious but not devastating or obnoxious.

Very nice place. At easter weekend not overcrowded, only a few people here. Quiet.

Clean, hospitable, cheap. AMAZING views! 🏜 Hot water, sink, flushing toliet, just no electricity. The guy here who runs it is VERY nice and helpful. One of our favorite campsites in all of Nambia. We looked at most of the other campsites, If you’re in Purros, camp here 😊

Windy but an OK spot for big rigs. Close to everything but also not in the middle of it.

Viemos pra passar alguns dias e resolvemos ficar 1 mês. Bem em frente à praia, água, luz, descarte e Wi-Fi. Só atravessar a rua e estamos na praia. Bem próximo à Coroa Vermelha onde tem um bom comércio. Super indico!

I'm sorry to see that this restaurant can't live up to the expectations. Most dishes are prepared with prefabricated ingredients and are far off from fresh seafood. The seafood rice is basically overcooked leftovers in a tasteless broth. The starter of Squid made with bitter paprikapowder and lukewarm oil. The owner was around, but hospitality was far to be found. Do yourself a favour and go to café Diaz.

Good big out of way parking by Walmart. Normal road noise. Seems safe and no bothering by anybody.

Met with Jose’s sister and Jose himself.
1 bike and 2pp + 1 puppy = 200pesos.
Free electricity on site.
Shower really good.

Its holiday season so pretty full but lot of spots so don’t worry.

We were here for just one night for some electricity. The campsite is next to the owners farm. Clean and in good condition. No MTN but good Vodacom connection. There is also a decent Campsite-Wifi. Friendly hosts.

ficamos aqui uma semana, lugar top super tranquilo, os funcionários do restaurante são 10, a Lígia é a gerente super gente boa, se precisar de algo chama ela, a pizza realmente é top, e o lugar então é muito bacana, tem música ao vivo nos finais de semana, o rio é muito bom para um banho, super recomendo deixei umas fotos aéreas pra ajudar 😉

Beautiful spot on top a mountain close to Citrusdal. Spent a night camping with my dogs . A vehicle with decent ground clearance is needed. Perhaps 4x4 too but could be possible without I think .

At Wadi Hanifa we were warned about ‘bad people’ coming at night, so we decided to search for another spot. Because of extensive fencing we ended up here. Not very charming, but convenient. Surrounded by petrochemic industry, bedouins and camel poo. But quiet night.

Your typical Wal-Mart. There are ‘No Overnight Parking” signs but doesn’t appear to be enforced as I talked to the staff and they said it was fine to stay overnight as long as you stay at the end of the parking lot.

A bit more grass than your usual WM parking lot. Easy in/out especially if you come in off Campus Drive (Google will bring you in off Argent which if a big rig is much tougher).

Great quite spot to stay for the night. Had no issues finding and had a good sleep.

The nicest and most affordable campsite in the Ghanzi area. Beautiful bush environment with very private and secluded campsites. The bathrooms are exceptionally neat and clean. We came for one night and stayed for three.

Great camping spot right in a rocky/sandy beach. Beautiful bay with turquoise warm water, the bottom is all sand.

No hookups or bathrooms or anything but had cell service, it was quiet, and damn what a beautiful spot!

Not much privacy at the beach spots so you need to walk back to the bushes if you want privacy when going to the bathroom.

Can get a bit windy here but it wasn’t too bad when we were here. Got a little windy early morning.

Bridge is being redone/rebuilt. Passage closed after 9pm due to construction, so you cannot cross. 50 Mets in toll both on the south side for vehicle less than 3.5 tonne.
military/police/immigration stop just after the toll booth, group of 6 approached and asked for 100 mets each so they can buy something. We said no, they kept asking and we stayed firm and polite saying no you cant have any money. They soon realised they weren't getting anything out of us so we left.

Pro: small market, place for fishing
Contra: the toilets are really dirty without water to clean, no shower
Unfortunately there is a lot of waste on this spot.

Conclusion: you better look for another place.
