Description

Moderators Note: Reported place is permanently closed 04/2022. What a wonderful place, about 15 min taxi ride to town. Its signposted but it does have a big black gate to enter and its advertised on tripadvisor. Its a hostal with fast wifi, laundry service, diy laundry, pool table, grills ,a designated bathroom/shower building, kid climbing gym, a tree house, a pool, hang out lounge, a film projecter and an industrial kitchen. Lots of places in the big grass garden to tent camp or for big rigs, including canopies to park under. We stayed here while we got work done on our rig as well as a dentist. Alex is a very helpful guy, he recommended the dentist, got our leather seats upholstered and also the mechanics, he drove us around as well when needed. Also has good english. We paid 150 BS for camping ( 5 people ) per night. Met other travelers here while we enjoyed our stay. Recommend!!!

place is closed - neighbor called the owner for this information. entrance is blocked.

Report Check-In

As almost all the spots we checked in this town, this place seems close, it was a big mount of gravel in front of the gate. And nobody answered at the bell.

Report Check-In

This is a beautiful place. Spacious grounds. Quiet. Lots of room. 50bol pp/pn. Fast wifi. Great bathrooms and showers. Nice breakfast included. The place is a bit tricky to find with rough cobblestone roads. Just before bridge, you will have to ring the bell at the black gate to get someone to open the entrance gate just a little further along. Two blocks away, you can catch the colorful J bus to downtown Cochabamba, a modern and dynamic city.

Report Check-In

Excellent place to take a deep breath after a long trip and a lot of wild camping. Very kid’s friendly (playground, mini soccer, tree house). Decent showers and toilets. A+++

Report Check-In

As per previous description, lots of room, toilet, showers all good. Alex the owner super helpful.
We ended staying longer due to Xmas period and needing to get papers for our dogs to trace to Peru. Alex invited us to join his family for Xmas dinner, that’s how super nice he and his wife are. He recommended his friend for dentist - I had tooth extracted. Yet again super nice, and honest.

50pp, breakfast included. Clean bathrooms, hot shower. A lot of space, pool, and communal areas. Fast WiFi. Very nice owners. Good place to relax for a bit, especially after a long drive. Not much around though, and far from center.

Report Check-In

Great camping and facilities, breakfast is included!

Large indoor area with sofas, plenty of tables, a piano and a pool table. Grassy outdoor area with a pool, volleyball net and mini football.

Great hot showers and good internet.

Report Check-In

Fantastic place. Good breakfast included. Toilets and warm showers. Eassy to go to the city. Nice owner and quiet place in a beautifully city

Report Check-In

We planned to stay one night and ended up staying for three on our way to La Paz. A little pricey at 50bob per person, however, they have the best showers we've experienced in South America; it is safe; there are hammocks, a tree house, and a swimming pool; and the wifi is decent. We also had excellent Entel signal.

Report Check-In

100 bol for 2pax and travelcar. For us not a wonderful place. Ladies toilets clearly didn’t work. Asked owner to clean and repair it. Only cleaned after two days, but didn’t repair. Used the gentlemens, which were reasonable clean.

What a paradise! What you’re looking for you will find here: helpful and friendly owners Alex & Maky, very quiet day and night, modern and clean showers, pool, kitchen, fast WiFi, electricity, a Piano. Fast access to the town with bus or taxi.
We’ve payed 50 BOL pP, that includes a easy breakfast. Highly recommend, best place in Bolivia.
Please note: there are no signs at the door or the house, at the gate nearest to the bridge you can ring the bell.

Report Check-In

Really good place as described below. All the comfort you could dream of. One of the best places in Bolivia. We are already 2 months in Bolivia. We stayed here for 5 days.

Report Check-In

Loved our stay here. 50 bs pppn, 5 year old free even though he still gets his own breakfast. Great hosts, lots of space, quiet nights. Pool table, ping pong, volleyball area, pool, good bathrooms. Need long extension to reach the outlets depending where you park. Might need to ring the bell for a while, sometimes they are not within hearing distance of the bell. Good market within walking distance.

Report Check-In

We stayed there 2 nights. We found it overpriced 50 B per person due that we do not consume breakfast and there was no way to negociate down.
Fast internet.
Make sure to ask if there is place free.
Not easy to find the place.

Report Check-In

Legit, hot clean fast enough. Volunteers were great, Alex, very helpful, large open area, pool is a bonus. Negative is that it is far from the town center, the included breakfast gets long in the tooth after a few days and getting the right temperature for the shower is an art. Smiley face.

Report Check-In

what a nice place. we stayed 3 nights the owner is really helpful!! toilets are clean and the shower really hot. the breakfast wich us ibcluded in 50 pppn. is great...all in all a really nice place to stay and discover cochabamba

We stayed two nights at this beautifull and relaxed campsite. We really enjoyed our stay here. Our 2 year old son had lots of fun in the cool playground and we thought the breakfast was delicious. Super friendly and clean place to relax for a few days. It is defenitely open all year. Only june and july closed because of a big groupe that comes every year.

really difficult to find. when we arrived very late with 2 kids really tired, we were told that all the hôtel was booked for people who didn't want anybody to stay there with them.

Don't go here in July and August. They rent the entire place to Mormons every year and they are not allowed to let other people stay.

Report Check-In

Rentes exclusively to mormons until august, so unfortunately closed for travelers until then.

Report Check-In

Stayed here with 2 persons in our small van for 100 Bolivianos a night. Very nice grassy place. From here it's easy to take the Bus to the La Cancha Market (2 Bolivianos per person/about 20 Min). Recommended place!

Report Check-In

Diffucult for wiew the gates, no indications
Very quiet, no noise

Report Check-In

There are not a lot pf things to add. Very nice place in the huge city of Cochabamba. Alex is building new Cabanas at the Camping. The showers are repaired and they are 24/7 hot. Water is coming from a boiler now. Cabanas and dorm-room available, also places for tents or motorhomes. You can drive downtown with the trufi-taxi #112 for 2 Bs. Internet is always working without break. Breakfast still very simple but okay. Volunteering also posible.

Report Check-In

Overvalued. Garbage, carwrecks, ruin of a house, swimmingpool with very dirty water, ruin of a kitchen, disco next door all night long, suicide shower erc. Flipside: its one of the few places in town for a truck of our size(5mtr long & 3mtr high). Expensive and laundry superexpensive.

Report Check-In

Nice Place with Nice People. They speak english
BE CAREFULL: Not bog Rigs ! Max 8 Meters. The streets are very narrow, also the door!

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

very nice place, friendly, paid 40 bob for camping including breakfast and parking

Report Check-In

Wonderful place, wonderful people. Alex and Maky and their girls and dog will make you feel at home. We came for 2 days and stayed 2 weeks!!! It is 50 bols pp with electricity, drinking water available, breakfast and hot shower that was working great. Wifi was on and off but they are working to get it fixed. Dog was friendly with our cats so I am guessing he's friendly with other dogs too. Alex helped us even driving us to immigration and going to the gas station to get gas for us. We helped him build their website and made a video for them. By the way, Cochabamba is worth a visit.

Report Check-In

on 4.08.16 we arrived here and where told it costs 40bs p.p. p. night, incl. breakfast and water. the group of mormons had just left. three days later when we left we had to pay 50 bs per person per night. retourning a week later we asked. alex had rousen the prices by 25% without telling his people... at both of our stays the internet was slow or not existing.

Report Check-In

When we arrived the whole place was rented by a group of Mormons. Therefore we could not stay, but were referred to Casa Campestre.

Report Check-In

Apparently a group of Mormons have reserved this place until the middle of August. We got here beginning of July, and they said the entire place, all rooms, all camping, all parking, etc are now reserved by the Mormons. You can't make this stuff up.

Report Check-In

One of our favourite places on our whole trip. Very friendly, helpful owner, kindest person we meet in Bolivia. Fair price, included simple, standard Bolivian breakfast. Huge common area. Place where you could easily spend a week. There is a group there that rented out the whole place and will be there until August 4th. Left our car there and took a bus to Toro Toro. I didn't have my phone to mark it but there is an amazing, cheap BBQ restaurant at Av. Ecologica, walk up the road to the west of the hostel.

Report Check-In

Great place. To add something others have not mentioned... It is the first place where they actually had (somewhat) sharp knifes in the kitchen :) And if they are not, there is a table top grinder - help yourself :)

Report Check-In

Nice place, friendly owners speak English. Convenient for the town & easy place to do a bit of routine maintenance on the truck. Several truffis leave from corners nearby, but we found the 112 was best to get downtown. Full info is on the board in the common area. Don't get excited about the free breakfast, it's just some bread, jam and instant coffee, but it's not bad for the camping price of 40 bob pppn.

Report Check-In

Looks like a hotel turned into hostal. Some things do not work, only 2 of the 6 big stoves worked, there was one favorite working shower which multiple people said do not touch the head because of electric shock.. Small breakfast included. Lots of indoor space and shade. Swimming pool was being filled, poker table, pool table. Good place to relax. 40bob per person.

Report Check-In

Incredible place . Alex is very helpful, he help us with the mechanic troubles . The best place in Cochabamba
